  1. You dang skippy she did, I see what she is standing on and it is Mocha's cage, Koko is telling this intruder in no uncertain terms that he better stay back or else. Thanks for sharing these pictures with us.
  2. Did you really think it would Jill, Harvey is spoiled and rotten thru and thru, accept it for you will be happier for it. BTW, thanks for the laugh.
  3. I want to see, I want to see, show us Bernie.:woohoo:
  4. Thats great Janet and she seems to be enjoying it too, thanks for sharing it with us.
  5. I do hope your daughter can overcome her fear as she is missing out on a wonderful opportunity with Adaya and if she is persistent enough who knows she just might.
  6. I don't throw out pellets within 24 hours, I just add to the bowl, the only thing that goes in that bowl is the pellets and as long as they stay dry they are still good.
  7. It will be difficult to get this seed junkie to eat a healthier diet but it can be done but it will take time, lots of it. Keep offering the veggies and fruits, offer different ones and in different ways as some prefer certain ones certain ways, sometimes they will ignore them and finally one day will try them so keep at it. Some here have had success with eating the foods in front of your bird to show them you are enjoying them, they are like children who see you eating something and they want what you have. A few have commented that the pellets didn't taste half bad. If she is dumping the whole dish you may have to get several food dishes that you attach to the side of the cage that she cannot dump, she might pick them up with her beak one by one and throw them out but the main thing is to keep trying. A lot of people especially avian vets do recommend Harrisons pellets but there are a lot of other brands that are almost as good that maybe one of them she will eat, they all would provide nutritional value.
  8. All greys are individuals and some are more quiet than others but your baby has plenty of time to start talking, he could be just taking it all in and when he is ready he will start sounding off. If he is eating and acting normal in all other ways then I wouldn't worry.
  9. You get it all sorted out Bernie cause I want to see it go 60 mph, we all know you can do it.:silly:
  10. Oh no Jill, poor little thing, it was so darling looking, so sad but thanks for letting us know, I just assumed it was still alive.
  11. The spots are similar to a whitetail deer but they are much larger at birth than this little guy even considering that he is premature, he sure is a cutie.
  12. Don't count your chickens before they hatch Jill, this could just be a once in a lifetime thing or maybe he decided to shake things up a bit, watch out for installment two.
  13. Poor Bernie, his toy is broke and he can't play with it until he gets it fixed, I can't wait to see it going at full speed, 10 mph looks pretty fast but 60 mph would be totally awesome.
  14. What a precious little baby, too bad about the mother but that seems to be the fate of a lot of them, glad that this little one was saved. What kind of deer is it, do you know? It does look awfully small but then it is premature. Thanks for sharing this with us.
  15. Hello Mike and welcome to our family, we are so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Daisy. I'm so glad to hear your first experience with a grey is going great but you are still in the honeymoon phase right now so don't be surprised if it does not continue to go so well. Greys are notorious for being afraid of new things but the babies do handle it very well, most as they age a little become more afraid of new things such as new toys. Some breeders do an excellent job of socializing their babies and you are one of the lucky ones but part of it depends on the personality of the individual grey and you will see more of that personality as time goes by. Please continue to read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. We do love pictures here so if you have some of Daisy you would share with us we would very much like to see them.
  16. Wow what a pretty little bird, and so tiny, I don't think I have ever heard of them before, thanks for sharing it with us Julie.
  17. I hate to be the bad guy here but I can't just let this go by without a comment, in your picture of Ziggy he is outside without a harness on and not in a cage, your bird can and will fly away if spooked, even if he is clipped, I would never take my bird outside unless he is in a carrier or on a harness, please for his own safety. Thanks for sharing a picture of Ziggy, he is enjoying being outside and he looks very handsome.
  18. Thanks so much Petrea for letting us know the bird's owner was found, that makes me very happy and gives your daughter an appreciation for this awesome creature, who knows maybe one day she will own one of her own.
  19. Thanks so much Robin for that information on how you make your too a part of your family, it does take a committment that a lot of us do not have to own one of these gorgeous creatures and they are not for just anyone including me. Thanks for taking the time to write this for Dan's benefit and any one else who is thinking of purchasing one of these birds, karma for you Robin. B)
  20. Rudy and KC are cute sitting there on their playstand Debbie, even little Opey, thanks for sharing them with us.
  21. Those hyacinth macaws are beautiful birds, I love to admire them but they are not for me, not at what they cost but they say they are very gentle birds, thanks for sharing these pictures with us.
  22. That picture does look encouraging doesn't it, they seem to be getting along just fine but glad to hear it is working out better than expected, thanks for sharing that picture with us and great update.
  23. Gracie looks nice on the porch, she is enjoying herself sitting there on the branch, glad to hear she is doing just fine and she looks nice and healthy, thanks for sharing the pictures with us.
  24. I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall, what a hoot Harvey must have been thinking that was another grey, thanks Jill for sharing that with us.
  25. Thats great that Argyle is biting less but give it more time for things to settle down between Beau and Argyle, it is still early in their relationship and maybe they need more time to establish their relationship, I'm betting they will calm down soon and at least tolerate each other.
