  1. You are going to experience a whole new world of awesome when you choose to share your life with a grey and Breezy looks like such a sweetheart, thanks for sharing some pictures with us.
  2. Hello Breezy and welcome to our family. You have two beautiful birds and I look forward to hearing lots more about these two especially the grey as they are precious to us.
  3. I count myself really lucky in that I have never been really bitten, I mean a hard bite that brings blood by Josey and she goes in her cage when I want her to and I never have a problem getting her into her cage at bedtime, usually she is already there at her cage or in it when bedtime comes unless she has gone over to spend some time with my hubby as she has done lately.
  4. He is definitely one handsome fella, who couldn't resist those dark eyes, he is just precious, thanks for sharing the pictures with us even if we had to turn our head sideways to see! Oh boy, now I got a crick in my neck, geez.
  5. Happy Hatchday Corky, yes she sounds a lot like Josey but then the same can be said for a lot of our greys, they want what we have and if you deny them you will pay for it but we love them in spite of it, hope she gets spoiled royally today as she probably is everyday.
  6. Dan I think you are confusing your tongue with Dayo's in this instance!
  7. Josey eats both walnuts and pecans but doesn't much care for almonds.
  8. Yes indeed they can get mad at you and it can change as quickly as it happened if you are lucky.
  9. Josey does the tongue wiggling at times, its like she is rolling something around in her beak as if she was chewing gum, she is not nervous or stressed when doing it.
  10. Poly is one handsome fella, he could have his pick for sure.
  11. She has a good seed mix with some nuts, she gets vegetables every day with some grains or legumes or some kind of pasta, beans occasionally, a little fruit several times a week, some egg a couple of times a week and/or some chicken, turkey or fish, on occasion she will get a chicken leg bone to break up and get the marrow from inside and maybe once a week she gets a little sliver of cheddar cheese. I personally would not feed more than a couple of those nutriberries a day, though they are good for them moderation is the key and a variety of foods should be offered and provided.
  12. I think greys use more sight and sound than they do their sense of smell, I know my grey recognizes cheese packages and the sound of snack bags rustling but if they see us with food then it is an open invitation to come over and get some of it, after all if it is good enough for you to eat then it must be meant for them.
  13. I give my grey about 2 nutriberries a day so 1.5kg would last for several months, the more you give per day the faster you will use them up.
  14. Love the bottoms up of the little fella in the last picture, sure was nice to see all 4 of them enjoying the eats together.
  15. Oh the one I had at the noon meal was delicious as will be the one I feast upon at dinner later, yummy!
  16. I agree Karen and I can be choosy about who I friend and I have also unfriended several. Facebook is one way to keep in touch with family and friends and share pictures you might not otherwise see, its one of the main ways I stay in contact with my friend in the UK and I have many friends I "met" on greyforums. Sterling, I think most of us have at least one drama queen and I am friends with several on your list.
  17. Thanks so much Jill for the reminder, our fids are precious to us, our feathered children and its up to us to make their home as safe as possible.
  18. I wish all who celebrate it a wonderful Thanksgiving, may it be spent with family and friends, sometimes we lose sight of what all we do have but all we need to do is open our eyes and look to see someone else who has it worse than we do, we have a lot to be thankful for and one of those is the friendships I have made thru this forum, I hope each and every one of you have a blessed day today as always.
  19. He will eventually but right now he is busy checking out the new digs and exploring his world, be sure to give him a heavy duty bell he can bang around, greys love them.
  20. I like a nice brown crust on mine!
  21. I keep my dirty laundry where it belongs, in the hamper until it goes into the washer.
  22. Were the feathers like that when you got him? Its possible that if he was with siblings or other babies that one of them gave him a "haircut" that's my guess.
