Yes she will and it is best to leave the eggs in the nesting area for a normal incubation period or until she tires of sitting on them. When you remove the eggs she tries to replace them with new ones and making eggs depletes her body of calcium and nutrients.
Just let her have her eggs to sit on and when the thrill is gone throw them away and be done with it.
Oh the floodgates are open now and you will hear lots of new sounds and congrats on him saying hello, this is just the beginning so sit back and enjoy the ride.
Congrats on bringing Morgan home.
Dave is right, they do that to stretch their wings and legs at the same time, you will see it several times a day.
The pellets should be in a separate bowl and available at all times as greys are snackers, you do not want them tainted with any moisture from the fruits and veggies so your grey should have several food bowls in his cage.
Which reminds me I need to order another bag of Harrisons and she does eat the fine, I tried the coarse and she wastes them, I hardly find any of the fine pellets, she is such a good girl.
Congrats Lyn, two pellets today maybe three or four tomorrow, doesn't sound like much but its a start, Josey snacks on hers throughout the day, maybe they will turn out to be a big hit eventually.
You are right Dan, she does give her all to this forum, that is evident in the changes that have been made since she became admin and I sing her praises also, no I won't actually sing and share it, I have my standards but lets hope that Penny is here for a long long time, you go girl, love ya.
Oh my gosh I missed this, what a cute and funny video of Dayo dancing to one of Penny's favorite songs, he really is a cutie Dan and so talented, I know Penny is moved and touched by what you and Dayo have done and you know you are appreciated here very much, thanks for sharing that with us, Dayo rocks.:cheer:
That was cute Jill and it doesn't surprise me in the least, Josey sometimes get her foot up high and scratches her own neck but they are smart enough to use tools, thanks Jill for sharing that with us.
Funny how you identify Harvey, a "fiend" really Jill, I hardly doubt that Caroline thinks of her greys that way but yes as far as fruits and vegetables are concerned it is as you stated, one bird doesn't eat that much so you don't have to buy more than you would otherwise.
Food is not the big expense, the toys and vet bills far outweight the food expense.
Yes it is, a truly amazing picture and probably one that would be great to blow up and frame, I thank Howardine for sending it to me to post, Bernie should appreciate it also since it is right up his alley of interest.
I am posting this for Howardine, aka kittykittykitty, enjoy!!
This is the sunset at the North Pole with the moon at its closest point 2 weeks ago..
A scene you will probably never get to see in person,
so take a moment and enjoy God at work at the North Pole.
And, you also see the sun below the moon.
An amazing photo and not one easily duplicated.
Sunny uses her birdie hut every night for sleeping but I never got one for Josey because I don't think she would use it and since she is female I didn't want it to be something she might get the notion of nesting in.
Blue has been to your house so many times Shelia that he feels at home when he gets there, he is one amazing grey and it is so great that you can put him up for short visits, you two have such a great relationship, enjoy.
I don't use any supplements to Josey's foods, she eats pellets fairly readily and my vet hasn't mentioned giving any so I haven't, maybe I should rethink that and see.
Oh I would have loved to have seen the little peep but you did the right thing to not disturb her, you will get a picture soon enough but I can't wait to see them.
Great pictures of Cocoa, you can see every detail of how she is enjoying that palm nut, wish we could get them here in the USA but will have to settle for the oil version, thanks for sharing them with us.
Wow look at those feet, such contrast from the black body but it does make them stand out and be noticed, you take very good pictures Sanggay, he is as stunning specimen with that bright beak, black body and yellow feet, thanks for sharing them with us.
I am so sorry to hear of Archimedes passing, I guess there was more damage than you thought at first, please accept my condolenses on your loss but time will help you heal your broken heart.
