  1. Adina's pictures are always great and those are some good looking toys, Emma and Sachi are two lucky birds for sure.
  2. You are right to leave it alone for now, Yoshi will take care of it herself and if it bleeds then you will have to see about removing it but have the cornstarch or flour handy in case it does start bleeding.
  3. Joy here are some of my favorite places to shop: http://birdtoyoutlet.com/ http://www.greyfeathertoys.com/ http://www.busybeaks.com/toys.htm http://www.drsfostersmith.com/bird-supplies/bird-toys http://www.superparrots.com/
  4. Thats a great idea about the netting and I wish you could post a pic to show how you did it, would be so great for some of these who have good fliers to keep them from going out the door. Try reading thru this link for help on posting pictures: http://www.greyforums.net/forums/welcome-&-introduction-room/54297-how-to-post-pictures.html
  5. Most of us have greys that do not bother with anything that lands on the tray underneath the grate but you obviously have the exception to the rule and it will be hard to find a cage that has enough space that your grey cannot reach for he has learned how to get his foot down the grate to reach what is there. I suggest you contact some of the cage manufacturers to see if any can tell you what the depth is in their individual cages but you might have to come up with another solution to the problem.
  6. If you are comfortable in your house then your grey will be also and I sometimes notice that Josey's beak is warm to the touch when she gives me a kiss.
  7. Its all normal for them to preen out little fluffs of downy feathers and they are all over the house, its hard to keep them under control, I quit fighting it and so what if you see a few in my house, who cares, I have two birds and I don't care if my house is not spotless clean.
  8. There is always the first time, maybe it will have to be put to the test.
  9. I am amazed that this particular amazon is getting close to extinct in the wild and that is so sad that so many die that are captured for sale, why can't they leave them alone, if I were over there and caught them doing it those poachers would not take another breath:angry: Those all yellow ones are gorgeous, bet they would shine in the dark, thanks for sharing these with us Jay.
  10. Nice photos Sanggay, Cocoa is one lucky grey to get to visit so many wonderful places, she enjoys her outings as much as you all love having her with you, thanks for sharing the pictures with us.
  11. Joolesgreyuk wrote: Oh my that sounds serious Jules and could pose a threat to anyone who happens to visit, something to think about. Josey hates a kitchen stool that I use occasionally to get something off the top shelf and she will growl in her most unfriendly way, other than that she is slow to take to new things.
  12. What an adorable grey baby Hawkins is and yes he is starting to look like an actual grey, they sure are precious at this stage in their life, thanks for sharing some pictures of him with us.
  13. pearllyn wrote: It does doesn't it, maybe Jill will enlighten us as to why! Harvey looks like he is giving you the look of get out of my face with that camera!:cheer:
  14. Its lonely here in this room all by myself, maybe I should have a drink and then I won't know I am all alone, farting tonight for sure.
  15. Supernova wrote: Don't call me "SCARDY PANTS"
  16. Knight05 wrote: Yes Spence size matters:whistle: and not just for a female Cag but all Cags, the bigger the better and 18 inches wide is not wide enough. You need one that is at least over 24 inches wide but wider is much better. She needs room to flap her wings and not touch the cage bars. Its good to see you back on the forum, I know life is busy but we wish you could find the time to update us from time to time on how Chloe is doing and maybe share some pictures.
  17. Averi is adorable, you have a beautiful grey baby that we watched from day one and now we will continue to observe this amazing creature develop into a well socialized adult grey, thanks for continuing the journey and sharing her with us.
  18. When you vist on Sunday just take things slow and easy, they can see one another from across the room and call to each other, it should go well if you don't force anything, who knows they might just get along.
  19. Whether my bird loves me who knows, I doubt it, like Dave said they don't really know "love" like we do but we do share a special relationship and she trusts me, I will provide all the love.
  20. They definitely don't forget and although she may have enjoyed the visit she was sure glad to be back to her new home with the rest of her flock, glad it was a pleasant experience for her and thanks for sharing it with us.
  21. I have one similar only mine doesn't have the divider section, I love the design with the playtop on the side, I got mine for much cheaper but it was at a bird fair. If you have a major bird fair coming up next month I would wait and see what they have, you might find a good deal like I did.
  22. Josey will say "birdie supper" and she is usually in the kitchen while I am preparing hers and boy she is impatient for it too, she paces and you would think she was starving to death.
  23. You really should think about taking her out for short trips to places that are fun so she associates having a good time with going in the carrier, Josey never hesitates going in her carrier.
  24. Its a great carrier and I use it when I take her with me to work or on visits to my son's house that is 4+ hours drive away, she plays with a bell and other toys and talks on the ride there and back.
  25. Some do pick favorites and Pepper obviously prefers your boyfriend so you may have to accept being second fiddle but you can still have a good relationship with her just not like the one she has with the bf.
