  1. My sun conure sleeps in one of those tent shaped huts, she loves it but Josey my grey sleeps on top of her boing, it is the highest point in her cage. I have never tried giving her anything else to sleep in or on for knowing her she wouldn't like it one bit.
  2. My sun conure still hates to shower, she will bathe in her water dish but if I take her into the bathroom then she wants to fly off, maybe I should do it every day like you did but she hates it. Josey only tolerates the shower, she won't fluff up her feathers or anything but she will stand there while the water is running off of her.
  3. It must have just been your lucky day to capture those shots for it is hard to get them in flight and be clear pics, you certainly have him stopped in motion, excellent shots. Karma for such good work.
  4. I have a lady who has birds of her own that takes care of Josey and Sunny when I go on vacation and I also belong to a bird club and if it were necessary one of them would care for my birds. Like Jill my birds do not have the freedom they do at home but they have plenty of company.
  5. That would be so funny, that Tobie didn't want to see you crying so he thought he would interject some humor and it worked like a charm, I can imagine that you and Frank suddenly had tears of laughter rather than sadness, way to go Tobie.:laugh: :lol:
  6. Now thats an offer they won't be able to refuse, thanks Jay.
  7. You already have a Timneh, maybe a Congo would be the one to add, that way you would have one of each for more than likely they won't get along with one another even if you got another Tag. I thought I wanted another grey until I actually got one and it was a handful to say the least but he went on to another home and is doing well I believe. It really doesn't matter when you get this other bird as both are individuals and will have their own personality but if you want another grey then by all means get it and let us know what you decide to do. I don't know what a Timgo is, sounds like a cross between a tag and a cag, 'Tim'neh + Con'go' but that doesn't happen in nature.
  8. I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your beloved grey, that was unfortunate that she was a plucker but she is fully feathered now as she flies over the rainbow bridge. If it were me I would go with the grey but I have never had an eclectus and do not know much about them but we do have several members who do have them and they will chime in soon with their suggestions and advice for you. No matter which you choose you do have a difficult situation to deal with being in a wheelchair and using a ventilator but you managed it before and can do it again. Please keep us informed at to which you choose and good luck to you.

  10. Poor Charlie but I hope he does well now that it is over with and maybe you will find the reason for his plucking and it will be done with, let us know what you find out.
  11. First name Mo, last name Ron! {Feel-good-0002006E}
  12. Vote here in this thread Lyn: http://www.greyforums.net/forums/amazon-room/187402-vote-for-amazon-challenge.html#187559
  13. You have quite a little diva on your hands Lyn, what a precious moment with her.
  14. Virginia has it's share of wildflowers too but they say everything is bigger in Texas, is that so?
  15. A bowl for sleeping, that is too funny!:laugh: :lol: :laugh:
  16. Those are some amazing pictures Stephen, he is coming straight at you and focused on you, you are so lucky to get these shots, thanks for sharing them with us.
  17. What a great looking toy for a great looking bird!
  18. Emma seems to enjoy it and Josey probably would too, I think it is so thoughtful of the supplier to include little thank yous like that, it encourages repeat business I am sure.

  20. I don't see any harm as long as you keep your grey from getting close enough to eat them, I can imagine your house smells lovely right now.
  21. Gosh is no one going to vote but me, shame shame! I will have to say I will vote for all three, they all were good entries, Janet gave more information in hers but the other two entries included pictures in their posts, it is hard to choose just one so my vote goes to all three. There, done with, not it is everyone else's turn, come on people and let your votes count and voices be heard.
  22. I am sure if you googled it you would find something but I am thinking you may have to piece it together to get the shape you want but one thing is for sure, I want to see a picture of this cake when you make it.
  23. Thanks but no thanks Dave, you really crack me up sometimes! {Feel-good-0002006E}
  24. The vet is probably right about the toe, since he was born with it he doesn't know his is any different from the others in the clutch and will never be a problem besides none of us is perfect and neither are our greys, you have made a wise choice. He is a fine looking fella and I love that last pic with the adult grey with the babies, he is doing his part to bring them along to being a proper grey.
