Just look at those babies, have you ever seen anything more adorable and Tanya is feeding them, they have grown and starting to feather out nicely, soon they will be fully feathered and starting to take their first flight, are you ready for that Tanya, better prepare yourself to be amazed.
Thanks Jay for posting them for Tanya, I love them.
The baby is adorable and I wouldn't put that perch any higher than you have it now, you don't want the baby to have to far to fall and be sure to put some towels or other soft material under the papers so it is padded, that way the baby can't hurt itself. He/she is doing a good job of perching already and provide some foot toys to play with.
Thats funny Bonnie, maybe he was trying to imitate you when you are drinking your coffee, maybe he wants to drink something out of it, give him some juice in it and see if he will drink it, he might think if it is good enough for you then it must be great for him, what a ham.
Oh my gosh, could Issac finally be giving up the formula, he sure has milked this for all its worth but he looks so handsome, maybe it is all that formula that has kept him so healthy looking cause it certainly hasn't hindered.
I think they all do that weird pre historic vocalizations when playing and some when flying thru the house and then they can turn around and be so sweet you think you have a Jekyll and Hyde personality but its just them being themselves.
In a grey's mind its whats his is his and whats yours is his too!
Thats great that you had a wonderful first experience with the harness and like Jill said put it on him from time to time so he stays comfortable with it but expect to have some times that he may not want to cooperate but making it a positive and happy experience will go a long way in keeping this acceptable for him.
It could be Maggie and those dove coos are very relaxing to hear, we have the mourning doves here but I guess they all make cooing sounds. I think he has it figured out to a T, Spock is one smart fella.
Thanks everyone for the good wishes and she did have a great day or evening since I spent the day at work but I made up for it when I got home, gosh I hope I didn't give her too much cheese, I think she would eat the whole package if I let her.
Josey will hold food in her talon especially something she really likes so she can get it all and the fastest thing she eats is slivers of cheddar cheese, she practically inhales it she likes it so much and she is not afraid to get her beak messy either, she loves chili beans and sweet potatoes and her beak shows it when she is eating them.
It is very disturbing to read these stories of how some greys have been abused from former homes, I know my two parrots have never had to encounter such mistreatment since they both came to me as just weaned babies but it breaks my heart to think of those poor animals having to endure such horrendous behavior from humans who should know better, at least the ones who have been rehomed with our members have gone on to great homes and treated with the love and respect they deserve.
Jay, you and Maggie are GODS in my eyes and I thank you two from the bottom of my heart for what you do, you are so blessed.
Jay is exactly right, a 9 week old grey baby should still be getting lots of formula right now, shame on that breeder for fooling you into taking this baby before it is weaned, they should be horse whipped.
That does look like it will be a good one, I have seen a lot of these animated films due to my grandchildren loving them, sometimes they are the only movies I get to go to the theater to see on the big screen, I don't get out much, can't wait to see this one, thanks for letting us know Lyn.
I would love to be a fly on the wall and hear that Jan, yes they do bring out the inner child in us and that is a good thing, thanks for sharing the game you two play, I love it.
Here are a couple of pictures I took of her today, I tried to get a good one of her enjoying her cheddar cheese but you have to be quick for she practically inhales the cheese, I need to do more practice to take good pictures, she is a little skittish but she is a sweetheart and I love her so much.
They can have their bad days just like us and it is better to just leave them alone and he will join in when he feels like it. Thanks for the updates and realize that progress will seem slow but you take it in short steps a little at a time but you are doing great.
