  1. Nice, wish I had one but Aristotle is enjoying being outside. OMG, he is not on a harness or in a carrier, you are taking a great chance with him outside like that Joel!
  2. I see, I have that book also, did you enjoy it? Was it as helpful as the forum?
  3. Those boings are the greatest things and greys love them, I have one in every bird cage but lately Josey has taken to chewing on hers and I have replaced it only for her to chew on it too, going to have to replace it with something else.
  4. I have never heard of this product before but I am definitely going to try it as my drains are a little slow to empty, I can leave it overnight and see what happens, thanks for sharing this with us Zoom.
  5. I saw that video on the internet and thought how come someone hasn't done this before but I especially liked the last comment as that says it all, what a waste of good food.
  6. I have ordered things from that site too and have to say they are fantastic, I have never been disappointed with anything I have ever ordered but I may have to get Josey one of those perches as it looks great, glad its a big hit with Marcus.
  7. I have a similar one for my grey and I love the playtop on one side like that one has, it has plenty of room especially if your grey will be out a lot.
  8. I have my fingers crossed for you if that will help as it sounds like a good job for someone who loves animals and you can interact with the owner's grey and get some firsthand experience, sounds like a win win situation so much luck to you. I'll take a Jeep over a truck any day, I have two of them.
  9. I have the adventure pack and like Robin I feel it is too small for a grey, its construction seems to lend itself to the smaller birds and I have used it for my conure or tiel but I go for something bigger for my grey and it is not something that can be carried for any length of time but I use it for transport. If you want to include your grey on outings maybe you should consider harness training Marcus to be able for him to accompany you on short outings.
  10. Probably the best you can hope for is that they will tolerate each other as long as there is some distance between them. My three birds, a grey, a sun conure and tiel do not get along but they tolerate each other as long as one does not tread too closely. I would have liked for them to get along together but that is wishful thinking, I imagine that most of us with multiple birds have this problem to some degree so you have plenty of company in this aspect. I see in the first pic that they are sharing a perch, you might be better off to keep them on separate ones so there is some distance between them and see how it goes but you are still in the early stages with your new grey.
  11. Zak is a handsome fella there chewing on his birdie bagel and that game you are playing with him looks like much fun for you both, thanks for sharing that with us.
  12. Barbara that Egan is so adorable in those pics you shared with us, I bet you just want to cuddle him close when you visit and you betcha he is loving you already, bet you can't wait until you have him home with you, thanks for sharing your little sweetheart with us.
  13. Such a wonderful place to sit and eat and whatever Cocoa was eating it must have been good for she was going at it with gusto, nice backdrop of a waterfall, sounds like a cool place to sit and relax for a spell.
  14. Cage looks nice and yes a rope boing is just the thing you need for that new cage and maybe a big heavy duty bell, greys love bells, thanks for sharing the pics with us.
  15. That one of Dayo on his back is suitable for framing if you haven't already thought of it, what a greyt shot of him playing on his back showing off his bespeckled legs. I have no doubt he enjoyed his outing and its great that you are taking him out on a harness getting him used to it and new people and places and things, thanks for sharing the pics.
  16. Congrats on getting Jess home and it looks to be going smoothly but be prepared for a few bumps along the way as she settles into her new home, it is sort of the "honeymoon" phase right now and more of her true personality will emerge in the coming weeks and months but enjoy, now where are the pictures!
  17. I used to clip my sun conure's wings when I first got her but she has been flighted for the past 5 or so years, Josey is not clipped but she doesn't fly and my tiel is an expert flyer, I haven't clipped wings in years and won't any more.
  18. You should take Mikko out for more short trips in the carrier and go different places so he gets to experience more of the world around him besides his home and he will come to love the car rides, I take my Josey on trips when we go visit our son who lives 4+hours away and she rides just fine, she plays with her bell and chats to herself, it also makes for a positive experience in the carrier for when you have to put him in it for vet visits.
  19. I think a lot of us here feel this way Jingles but nature can be cruel sometimes, I hope they got away and are doing just fine.
  20. Josey said her first word when she was about one year of age and I don't remember what it was, isn't that awful I just don't remember, old age showing I guess but she says all kinds of words and phrases now.
  21. Cocoa could very well demolish that tree trunk, wonder what she is finding in it, does she ever come up with anything to eat out of it, maybe some bugs? Thanks for sharing her with us and I too look forward to seeing your vids, she is a star.
  22. He does look a little older than 5 weeks, the breeder could have gotten the date wrong but he is a little cutie so keep us informed on his progress and continue to post pics.
  23. Jenn I wish you much success in getting this grey out of this situation, its people like this who should not be allowed to multiply.
