  1. That looks like a great tool but I am afraid I might cut myself worse with it than using the knives I usually use, would take some getting used to.
  2. Those look like greyt grey toys, you did a wonderful job with them, thanks for sharing pics of them with us, maybe it will inspire the creativity in us.
  3. Thanks for the update on Echoe, so she does not allow any touching, well some greys are like that and you have to respect her feelings but otherwise she seems like she is a normal fun loving grey. She may just be pulling the ones that were going to fall out anyway and it is normal for them to chew them after falling out but keep an eye out if she is plucking. I would try to discourage giving her too much junk food, a little taste now and then isn't going to do any harm but not on a regular basis especially daily. The popcorn even if it is the air popped kind still has fat in it and very little in the way of nutrition, offer her some more veggies.
  4. She is a greyt looking Cag, she looks like she just got caught with her talon in the cookiejar, thanks for sharing it with us.
  5. Hello Lonnie and welcome to our family. I look forward to seeing some pics of Shikoba and the rest of your flock.
  6. What a cutie pie, love that little red butt and those black eyes, keep the pics coming.
  7. What would our life be if they didn't get jealous of the other birds, we have to have some drama in our every day life, might as well be our birds.
  8. Happy Belated Hatchday Val, glad you got treated special but I bet that is an everyday thing, some pics would be nice if you can manage it.
  9. So glad you took Oliver into your home and your heart and I hope he heals quickly. Poor fella needs some tender loving care and I know he will get it, looking forward to hearing updates on his progress.
  10. She is a very pretty girl and looks like a real sweetheart, thanks for sharing the pics with us.
  11. What a handsome fella Chili Pepper is, I love the first pic of him, he looks so regal standing there in all his glory, thanks for sharing the pics with us.
  12. Hello Julia and welcome to our family, Sylia is a beautiful grey and thanks for sharing a pic of her with us.
  13. Love all of them but my favorite ones are the ones upside down, what a ham Slater is, thanks for sharing them with us.
  14. Every grey should have at least one heavy duty stainless steel bell to bang around and fight with, Josey loves hers.

    CAG Treats

They are a dry cereal that doesn't have a lot of sugar in them, I see you are from India and you might not have them in your grocery stores.
  16. I think the pictures you added were appropriate in this thread and there is no rule that photos have to be put in the photography room only. I think that if the pics are of the subject the thread is about they are ok in that thread but if you want to add lots of pictures then make a thread in the photography room for them, that is my opinion and if it differs from what admin thinks then I will stand corrected.
  17. There is a sticky thread in the bird food room that has listed the veggies you can offer. http://www.greyforums.net/forums/showthread.php?59809-complete-veggie-fruit-list.
  18. Gracie is one smart cookie and you are gonna have to be smarter to stay a step ahead of her.
  19. Don't force him to stop the feedings, as long as he wants them give them to him, you don't want to rush the weaning process as it is better to let the bird decide when he no longer wants or needs them and as he gets closer to weaning he will eat the other foods more readily. You should be offering more veggies and very little fruit.
  20. Wow your vet is cheap, I can never go without it being under $100, maybe I should find a new one.
  21. If you read thru many of the threads especially the stickys in the bird food room you will learn all you need to know about what to feed and not feed, greys are foragers who will eat throughout the day so they should have access to food at all times.
  22. I have that Adventure Pack carrier but it is a little small for a grey for any length of time. Josey went with us up to see our son and his family this weekend, a 4 hour trip one way and she travels nicely but in a larger travel cage that serves as her home for the duration of the visit. She enjoyed out of cage time but was happy to spend the rest of the time in her carrier as she was where we spent the most of the time and she had toys to play with. She did get to see some snow as they had about 3 to 4 inches but we had nothing at home. Thanks for sharing Marcus's little adventure with us.

You can offer him some Cherrios, the plain ones.
  24. You hit the nail on the head, time and patience will win him over and the others have given you some excellent advice.
  25. Hello Injood and welcome to our family, so glad to hear you have added a grey to your flock. All you need to do is read thru as many of the threads here for lots of useful information from firsthand experience with other grey owners, many of us have been in your shoes and needed advice and we found loads of it here and be sure to ask any and all questions you may have and we will try to help you in any way we can. We always welcome pictures here so if you have any of your grey you would share with us we would love to see them.
