If you have prolonged numbness in your finger, he could have inadvertently hit a nerve. You might want to have it looked at.

It's just what they do. Other species of birds, too. If they are displeased by something, how else can they relay that message to us? My Scarlett takes it one step further. If I'm holding him and an unknown visitor comes to my home, he'll displace a bite of displeasure onto me. Ouch! Can't figure out if he's trying to warn me of perceived danger or that he's biting because he can't reach any of the visitor's appendages.

I always look forward to GreycieMae videos. ❤️

Hahaha! OMG, that is absolutely hilarious!!!

Nutiva RPO daily. It's organic and grown on a family farm, so no habitat is damaged through farming.

I agree. Sydney, one of my 3 greys, gets a small sheet of cardboard daily to tear up. It's one of his absolutely favorite activities to do. I remove the tape and don't give him any dirty or gummy pieces. Only pure, relatively clean cardboard.

Absolutely. Those stickies are priceless.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw Dave 007. I certainly miss his incredible posts. For those of you who are new here, he left this world a few years back, but his noteworthy teachings live on right here on Grey Forums.

It's true for me. After getting my second bird the rest of my flock came rather quickly. I now have 13 and holding!

That's really funny! My Maalik will immediately put his head way down if he suspects I'm about to put him back in his cage for the night. He can't possibly step up if he's awaiting scritches!

My 4 kids grew up with all kinds of pets around them. It's all about the environment you've created as to whether or not you'll be successful. My birds came later on after my kids were teenagers. But if I'd had birds when they were young, I would have experienced concerns over them possibly getting out through a left open door, and subsequently would have set things up much differently than I have them now.

Greycie Mae! What a little knucklehead! Looks like a cheap toy that you can replicate for her to 'bat' from at home.

I am completely moved and amazed by their incredible long memories! I wish you could have Odie right now, but it sounds like it could be some time very in the very near future. Odie is beautiful, plucked and all!

The only call worse than the ear piercing shriek of our greys is the eclectus alarm call. It's ear drum shattering. It's even louder than the call from my Scarlet macaw, which is saying something.

Our birds will show us what we're supposed to have known all along!

Nope. Peels are evil things attached to their food! All peels are unceremoniously tossed aside.

OMG!!!! He's absolutely adorable! Kudos to you for getting onboard with harness training him so early. Conures are nippy by nature, but not that difficult to read. My duskies are so full of personality, and I can just imagine what your little guy's vivacious personality is like. I think they all speak 'conure'. At least my duskies and pineapple do! Congrats on being owned by another birb!

I don't think that I'd like to save any eggs unless I've first pin holed one end to drain out its contents. 8 of my 13 fids are DNA'ed males, so that certainly helps prevent future egg laying!
