CeasarsDad
I think this is a new thread because the old one hit some limit.. We can continue here guys. Here's the link to part one for those that want to start from the beginning or research something... http://www.greyforums.net/forums/african-grey/10078-the-members-photography-thread.html

Post edited by: CeasarsDad, at: 2007/06/14 18:
TalonSis
Hey CD, is there any reason why when I'm using the flash/lumiquest, the normal, upright position(for the camera) comes out brighter than the vertical shots? Melissa
CeasarsDad
With vertical shots Melissa you don't have the ceiling to bounce off of.. So less light can hit the subject.. In these cases you might want to use normal camera position and "crop" for a vertical look.. Know what I mean?
Richardsmommy
I'm going to regret this, but here we go:

CeasarsDad
We often talk about morning light when taking photos.. and how this is the best time of the day.. Take a look at this shot of my dog Rocky.. See how warm the morning light is in this shot... Enjoy.. http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u97/venuto/rocky_sweater_snow.jpg

CeasarsDad
Melissa.. I can see you are having fun with that new lense.. 70-200mm at 2.8 is near pro quality.. You will be taking some seriously good photos now... This latest batch you posted are proof of that... Your camera feels way different with that new lense hung on the front doesn't it... People that see you now are thinking... Gee, she looks so young to be a PRO..... I'm proud of you Kiddo...

Guest briansmum
talonsis what do the horses have on their heads? that may sound like a daft question, but i don't know anything about horses.
Talon
Hi, Becca They are called fly masks. We put them on before they go outside everyday to keep the bugs out of their eyes and ears. They go nuts without them, shaking their heads constantly!! And that was a very good question!
Guest briansmum
thanks talon! they're a very good idea, it just looked a bit like they couldn't see through them
Talon
It does look that way. The white part is a fine netting that keeps the bugs out. If you put them up to your face, you can see out of them very well. It's pretty deceiving.
CeasarsDad
Nice Karla... I absolutely LOVE the one where your baby is spreading his wings like that... Very hard to get a photo like that and you nailed it.. One of your photos I had to remove because it was TOO LARGE.. Try and keep the photos at 500 pixels wide if you post them here.. Otherwise if you use a link they can be as big as you want them to...
splint101
Hey hey Karla, nice pics. I am with CD the one where T is spreading her wings is GOOD. {Feel-good-000200BB}
CeasarsDad
No problem Karla.. Everything is fine.. You see when photos are uploaded that are too big, over 500 pixels wide, they stretch the forum screen..
judygram
I love those pictures of Tequila, what a cutie, and those baby eyes. My favorite is the one with the wings spread out. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Judenmink
That is a really great pic. I am looking forward to getting some good shots of Elmo. I am a keen photographer but so far have been too busy obsessing about all things parrot to put my creative head on and shoot for quality pics!
