iEgg Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Just wanted to add to this thread and say... I've been playing piano for 14 years... that's it lol... nothing spectacular
JJsHoney Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Well I think that is spectacular! I have not a musical bone in my body so I salute all who can!! also whats your fav piece to play?? Do you have any recordings of yourself playing? would love to hear it
Luvparrots Posted July 7, 2010 Author Posted July 7, 2010 I am so envious iegg. I got my daughter a piano when she was young and no one every learned to play it. So congratulations, I hope you will video a tune or two to share with us!!!!
Luvparrots Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 I am going to do a little bragging!!!! Or just a little whoopee maybe. Today, 38 years ago, I got an aortic heart valve replaced and I am still ticking away!!! Yes I tick. I'm am just grateful that I only have one valve replacement there are some who have had two replaced (shutter at that). Changed my whole life as I was born with this defect. So hurrah for me. 38 years and still ticking and very grateful to Dr. Albert Starr, my hero. Some day I'll tell you about how I asked the nurse if it was okay to have some wine for a nightcap the night before the morning of the surgery and she said "okay". Well a bottle later........
Talon Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Wow! That is impressive!! And a blessing to all and to Our family here at Greyforums . You are a huge asset here, and I feel very lucky to be your friend even tho we live so far apart, MYbe one day we can share a bottle of wine via Skype, as neither one of us can leave our birds lot g enough to fly across the world!!
Brat Birds Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 WOW. 38 years. If you had to have it done now, knowing what you know, would you still have it done. Imagine how much different it would be now. They make so many improvements so fast in medicine. Glad you are doing so well.
katana600 Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Dear Dr. Starr, Thank you for our friend Janet. This is a great reason to celebrate. Glad it gave you the energy and good health you enjoy still.

Brat Birds Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Greywings, I searched J.C. Donaho on Facebook. It came up author - fine- but when the page opened there was nothing to see and no way to ask for a friend notification. I liked the page but that got me nothing. I also would love to get a book for my granddaughter because boys aren't the only ones who like bugs! LOL I even gave my granddaughter a BUG birthday party many years ago.
