  1. Cool video! Thanks for posting
  2. You might also want to check out foraging toys or boxes. My TAG loves to forage. He has a couple of toys specifically for that purpose that I put things in, and I make cardboard boxes for him. I put shredded paper, a foot toy, a walnut or almond (slightly cracked so he can get to it) and that kind of thing in it. They do crave human interaction though, so it's important to spend as much time as possible interacting with Miki. The more time I spend with Timber the more responsive and verbal he is. I think if they spend too much time alone, they withdraw.
  3. LOL I tried to get a pic after his bath last night but couldn't get a decent one. They look so funny!
  4. Interesting. I think there is a walker in my attic (not sure where it came from but it is there). I may give that a try! Thanks.
  5. You never know, she may be. Timber doesn't mind being sprayed, but doesn't want a real bath as often as I would like. After I spray him, he will sometimes go to his water bowl and throw water over his shoulder. That is my signal to get the baking dish of water to put in the bottom of his cage and he will dive right in. In other words, a full bath is on his terms only. I have a birdie cam and it gives me a lot of peace of mind. Also, free entertainment at my desk!
  6. LOL I can see the water bottle being endlessly entertaining for the birds! Yes, the bowls have to be changed frequently, especially if you have a dunker like Timber.
  7. LOL We all know that crazy bird woman/man look you get...
  8. Good job on the final Nancy Now just relax and enjoy the family and the holidays!
  9. Woohoo! Happy hatchday Cricket!
  10. I wonder... we buy water at Walmart. You take your bottle in and fill it from the machine there (3 gallon bottle we put on cooler at home). It says "ionized." Is that even close to the same thing? I know nothing about it.
  11. Plus, I think Timber would have a temper tantrum if he couldn't "dunk" his stuff in the water bowl!
  12. Hello and welcome! What is your baby's name?
  13. New word! I put an artichoke on Timber's skewer this morning (he will usually eat some of that). When I got home, he hadn't eaten much of it. I was pulling on the leaves and talking to him. He put his beak on it and said "artichoke" clear as a bell! I always tell him what I'm putting in there when I hang the skewer.
  14. Hello and welcome Bambi and Jesse. What a great Christmas present
  15. Last day, that's great! Enjoy the holidays with the boys and fids
  16. Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year to you and yours
  17. LOL bobbing for Kale. I'll have to try that one! There is some hanging on his skewer now which he is studiously ignoring...
  18. Agreed. Timber is a TAG and most of the medium/large toys work for him.
  19. Sounds like you will have a blast with Storm and Echo. They are such fun!
  20. It seems like greys are like kids... they just like stuff or they don't. I would just keep offering them and he may change his mind. Have you tried all the varieties? There are some nuts Timber doesn't seem to like. If you haven't tried pine nuts, try those. That is a favorite around here. Did you try offering nuts shelled and unshelled? Sometimes they have a preference one way or the other. Timber will eat an almond in the shell (I crack off the end) but doesn't care for unselled ones. At any rate, just keep trying which is all any of us can do.
  21. Thanks for the edit judygram. I just copied and pasted the link but it works a lot better now!
  22. Cibo is a beautiful girl! Welcome and God bless.
