  1. Wow, what pretty birds! Not keeping my house at 45 to 55 to have one though...
  2. Hello and welcome to you and your good looking flock! Funny stuff here. You all had me laughing
  3. Cool pic How does she like it? I'm always looking for things Timber might actually be interested in...
  4. Precious! How exciting to have a baby on the way :0
  5. I believe that would be an abbreviation for "feathered kid" If I'm wrong, someone correct me! That's what I always assumed it was.
  6. Neat pics and what a pretty baby! Looking forward to watching him grow
  7. Oh, I am so sorry! I hope by now you have good news...
  8. No Amazon here so no idea about the bite comparison. When Timber is really trying to bite, he clamps down and grinds though. Been awhile for that thank God! Jeff, I don't think Timber does that. He does take "nibbles" that are painless and not blood-drawing. Not exactly a pinch, but I would say that it is his "warning."
  9. Timber loves his daily spraying. In the warm months I use nursery water (chemical free) to spray him. In the winter (when the heat is running and it is dry) I use aloe to spray him. He hasn't been ill and would miss his daily misting. He takes a full bath when he is in the mood.
  10. No experience here either! Tyson looks like a sweetheart though. Good luck and God bless
  11. Great pics! Kizzy is looking really "noble" there. Thanks for sharing
  12. awwww... what sweet pics! Love those babies
  13. I see them! Hope your homecoming is all you expected. Keep us posted!
  14. I can't view the pic, it is asking me to login
  15. That's great! How exciting to finally have him home. He's a very pretty grey. Looking forward to more pics and hearing about him
  16. My TAG is a lot more receptive to touch close to bed time as well. Funny about the "boy I love the parrots!"
  17. Yikes! That is a post with a lot of impact Dave.
  18. Thanks and a happy and blessed Independence Day to all my forum friends! Stay safe and enjoy your day
  19. That two-year-old behavior reminds me so much of toddlers. My kids would say "no" just as they reached for a forbidden item. I'm not sure I was always as patient with them as you are with Gracie!
  20. LOL! Now we know we are all doomed to getting the same frames and just having the lenses changed... Good to know for new parrot owners, choose wisely!
  21. Neat video! Now I don't feel so strange about some of the things I do to get Timber to try things etc.
  22. Yes, as the others said, touch takes time. Just spend time in the same room talking to him and whistling. Slow and easy wins the day on trust. As to the vegetables, you can make "chop" (search forum for threads), sneak it into things like birdie bread, hang it on a skewer (my TAG's favorite way), or find another way to sneak them into something he does like. Sometimes you just have to keep offering the veggies. One of these days he will give them a try. Some they like better cooked (sweet potato for my bird), and others they like raw. It depends on your bird. It is a lot of trial and error, which results in a lot of waste, but you'll figure it out eventually!
