  1. I'd love to see the videos Ray. The good thing is you have a time frame, knowing in 4 weeks your travels will be over.
  2. Hello and welcome to you and Pepper Love the pics, especially that first one (closeup). My TAG is that way too, so I'd like to hear the comments too.
  3. Cool video! Sully is sure vocal, which I love. It sounds like he is speaking in a low pitch voice and a higher one. Very interesting video
  4. Hello and welcome! We'd love to see some pictures of your birds when you have a chance
  5. Timbersmom

    Acorns

Or the trouble from the sound of it!
  6. I give Timber red palm oil. There is a thread on here somewhere with a lot of info. I think Dave and others have posted information about it. Enough to encourage me to buy it at any rate! I don't take it myself. I do remember that it is one of their main food sources in the the wild.
  7. I only have one bird so can't offer much advice. However, from what I have read from others on the forum, whether birds get along or not is dependent on their personalities and other circumstances. In other words, these is no way of knowing if two birds will get along or not until you have both. Others with experience will come along and give you some input. Whatever you decide, do your research and preparation first. I rehomed my grey with no research first. I have owned various animals all of my life, and didn't realize the challenges and expense of bird ownership. Things have worked out, but would have been easier for me and for Timber if I had been better prepared. Greys, for the most part, need a lot of time and attention. Take a good look at how much time and effort you are willing to put into having a parrot before taking the leap. I don't know if the same is true for conures. Good luck and God bless
  8. Hello and welcome! Give us more info (like your bird's name and age) and post some pics when you have a chance
  9. How exciting! I still get excited every time I hear Timber saying something new.
  10. Funny! Yes, they do get jealous, or some variation of it at any rate.
  11. Timber bobs his head a lot. Usually when a song he likes is playing or when he gets excited. He is a TAG though, don't know if that same behavior is excitement in an Amazon or not!
  12. Hello and welcome to you and your "flock!" It sounds like you could tell some stories with that many critters, and I look forward to them. Post some pics when you have a chance, we love them
  13. Timber does similar at times. I think they are toying with us!
  14. Beautiful pics I love the little fall collage. Great idea!
  15. Showing as "unavailable." Hope they didn't take it down.
  16. What a cool video! Thanks for posting
  17. Best wishes for a speedy recovery! Like you, I did the one step forward, two steps back for quite awhile with my rehomed TAG. It has been about 16 months now, and I think I'm finally down to one step forward, one step back It will get better for both of you.
  18. It would be a little too much to have a trio coughing at the same time! Sorry, just struck me as funny
  19. Funny Dan! I agree 100% with you, you can learn a lot about your kids by listening to your parrot. I had a similar experience with Timber.
