Good news about Talon! Sorry to hear about Piper's wing, but am praying that healing comes quickly and that your solutions to the falling work like a charm.

Better to yell at the automated dude than a real person (like you ever get to talk to one). That is an excellent time to vent if you ask me. I have the same problems with Verizon and their useless automated system. Do those people really think I wouldn't just look at my account online or my phone if I want to know how many minutes I've used, if my payment posted, yada, yada. Nothing makes me angrier, and I'm usually pretty restrained. When I call that number, it is with an issue that needs resolution, not for general information. I think they know that, and make me jump through all those hoops hoping I will give up. I guess I'm just trying to say... I feel your pain!

I'd love to see the videos Ray. The good thing is you have a time frame, knowing in 4 weeks your travels will be over.

I give Timber red palm oil. There is a thread on here somewhere with a lot of info. I think Dave and others have posted information about it. Enough to encourage me to buy it at any rate! I don't take it myself. I do remember that it is one of their main food sources in the the wild.

I only have one bird so can't offer much advice. However, from what I have read from others on the forum, whether birds get along or not is dependent on their personalities and other circumstances. In other words, these is no way of knowing if two birds will get along or not until you have both. Others with experience will come along and give you some input. Whatever you decide, do your research and preparation first. I rehomed my grey with no research first. I have owned various animals all of my life, and didn't realize the challenges and expense of bird ownership. Things have worked out, but would have been easier for me and for Timber if I had been better prepared. Greys, for the most part, need a lot of time and attention. Take a good look at how much time and effort you are willing to put into having a parrot before taking the leap. I don't know if the same is true for conures. Good luck and God bless

Timber bobs his head a lot. Usually when a song he likes is playing or when he gets excited. He is a TAG though, don't know if that same behavior is excitement in an Amazon or not!
