  1. I need a food processor (the big ones) for some of the stuff I cook. They are a pain to drag out and cleanup. Mine is a Cuisanart that I have had for about 5 years. I used to buy cheap stuff, but as I've gotten older I've realized that it is better to bite the bullet and buy the more expensive kind if you are a heavy user. I have a Kitchenaid mixer for the same reason. That said, I try to group my work with the food processor. I.e. when I know I'm going to use it for cooking I make Timber's stuff at the same time. That way, I only have to clean it up once. It's all a matter of scheduling
  2. Timber's line when the phone rings (sometimes anyway) is "Hello, OK, Bye"
  3. LOL! She just had to follow it with "weirdo." Maybe the others will pick up on the name though.
  4. Very cute! Thanks for sharing. Wonder is Babalu wants to dive in?
  5. Loved it! Loved that album too back in the day if memory serves...
  6. I do. I use my food processor for lots of things though. I like to cook and wouldn't be without it.
  7. Nice assortment there Dave.
  8. I'd probably cry too if Timber ever called me anything endearing. All I get is the "Jamie" and it is in the "oh waiter" tone (imperious and demanding). Ah well
  9. They are not always green. Timber's varies with what he is eating.
  10. Thanks for the update! Overall, it sounds positive to me. What a blessing that you can handle Piper. The thought of trying to put anything under Timber's wing gives me chills.
  11. Cool pics! I like the pumpkin beak Unfortunately, Timber is still terrified of the pumpkin.
  12. I think a video of you and Pat in Walmart pushing the variety of laundry baskets around with your noses to see which glides the easiest would definitely go viral, especially if captioned! Looking forward to it
  13. Yikes what a story! There seem to be a disturbing number of birds that are stolen here in the states. Not ransomed that I'm aware of though!
  14. I'm always interested in these recipes as well if anyone has one. I use cornbread mix (I know this isn't ideal), a couple of eggs, handful of spinach, handful of frozen mixed vegetables, 1/4 cup nuts, and add apple juice until cornbread consistency. Then I cook it according to the mix directions. I nuke the frozen veggies before stirring them in (just to thaw and warm a bit). Timber only eats but a few bites in the morning. I'm always trying to sneak a vegetable to him, and this is just another way.
  15. I am Jamie. That is Timber's previous owner's name. Guess he figures that the the term used for the household slave... I'd take being called "bird" as a compliment!
  16. Glad to hear Echo is "normalizing." Everything with them is so scary to us as parronts.
  17. Hello and welcome to you and Poly What a handsome bird you have! Looking forward to seeing more pics and hearing about your life with Poly.
  18. http://www.avianstainless.com/ I think that is the url
  19. Same here! No expertise but someone who can help will be along to give their input. As you've probably seen on here many times, you should take Echo to an avian vet if possible.
  20. Kortney, I have no experience with this so have nothing to offer, but my thoughts and prayers are with you and Phoenix!
  21. Poor Piper I'm glad to hear the bleeding has stopped and it appears to be healing.
