  1. This s my worst fear. Me opening a door for just a second, a guest in the house who doesn't think about it...on and on. I can certainly empathize with how quickly that must have happened. So glad this story has a happy ending!!!!
  2. My brother's CAG, Hans, died this evening. He was 2 years old. He had always been small and a bit weak, but was full of character and deeply loved. We love you and miss you Hans. Hans at 8 weeks old:
  3. Is that a horned frog? Are you in Texas?? I've never seen one in the wild. Very cool!
  4. Oh, my. I was so upset when I read about Emma. I am so thankful for her safe return. Thank you for keeping us updated. Now may both you and Emma sleep peacefully tonight!!
  5. Thank you, thank you, thank you God!! I was so upset over this!! And 6 KM????? Wow!! So glad for all our animal rescue friends and networks!!!
  6. Oh, that is wonderful news!! Congrats to both you and Zoeie!!! I'm sure you will both have lots of fun learning new ways and tricks together!
  7. I can't stop thinking about Emma. Any news?
  8. Oh, my. What terrible news. I pray Emma is found soon!!!
  9. Great question. You need one of our resident experts to answer this (which isn't me!)
  10. I have to say this. I do leatherworking as a hobby. While it is best that they used kangaroo hide (stronger), it will still stretch. It doesn't appear to me that this anklet will get tighter with increased tension; at least I don't see that it has a "self-locking" mechanism. I'm concerned that with continued use, the leather may get loose, allowing Ana Grey to get out of the anklet. You might want to measure grommet to grommet now, while the anklet is new, and then check that length occasionally to see that it has not stretched too much. I hope I'm not coming across as negative. I just don't want you to lose that beautiful Ana Grey!
  11. I think the recommended spacing is 1 inch. However, the bottom line is that your bird should not be able to get his/her head between the bars. Not sure I've been very helpful to you. Maybe some others will respond as well.
  12. Yes, glad Pepper is back to normal! Keep watching, and PLEASE keep posting your questions! We all learn from each others questions! There was absolutely no need for you to be embarassed here. It was an excellent question!!!
  13. What cute names! ILove both of them!!
  14. I'm no expert, but I think they need the ventilation that wire cages give. Your birds would be breathing in a lot more of their own dander, etc with this cage. Also, they would benefit from the exercise they get from climbing around the wire cage, especially if you have to be gone all day/go out of town. Personally, I would not chose a cage with solid walls.
  15. I love not only the boing, but the java tree! Very nice!! Harvey obviously likes them, too!
  16. Ha-ha! That's cute, Spock! You're a sweetie!!
  17. So glad that your persistance is yielding some answers. At least you have a clue what you're dealing with. You're a great Daddy to Spock. He's on lucky little guy.
  18. My baby grey Morgan is afraid of the color red. I just discovered that the other day, when I walked up to his cage in a bold red sweater. He absolutely freaked! Now I know. If I wear that sweater, I put it on right before I leave.
  19. Great news that you found a vet that you and Aoodi like. Prayers for the both of you!!
  20. Until he gets more stable, you might put some towels/cushioning in the bottom of the cage, in case he falls.
  21. I cover Morgan's cage. I also use a Cozzzy cover. If I don't give Morgan at least 10 hours of sleep, he can get cranky. My brother advised the cover, to cut out any drafts that might be around.

    Exhaust fan

OK, so this particular fan can be installed without removing the window screen. The fan has been on about 12 hours/day for 2 days and you should see the window screen! It is full of dander and small feathers. This fan definitely works. I think it's going to help the purifier filter last longer. Just thought I would let you know!!
  23. I LOVE that last shot! What a beautiful, proud looking baby. Congrats!!
