  1. She is doing well and pretty while she works.
  2. And you are back under Severe Weather potential again today, stay safe!
  3. Welcome and you are getting your introduction to Grey time, patience is your most useful tool.
  4. Happy you found us and interested in your beautiful country.
  5. Poor guy but happy to have eliminated some bad issues. You can add cottage cheese (or ricotta), yogurt, nut butter and oatmeal to his food.
  6. That is trust :> we have one that sleeps upside down like a bat and one that is just as trusting as Sully he will lay in your hands and it is his own idea.
  7. Sounds like he may have had a seizure, do give us an update please.
  8. Even the ingestion of a heavy metal such as zinc from a toy can cause this action, or a health concern like a heart issue or it may be something simple like dry itchy skin or a molt. Vet visit is a great idea to eliminate any worries.
  9. Welcome and Rio is a beautiful Grey.
  10. Very lively & upbeat rather than comforting. Very nice though.
  11. Not sounding like a memory losss more like a sudden interest in adventure. Perhaps a dormant part of his psyche awakened.
  12. I would not use a diffuser but but you can steep either straight vinegar, lemons sliced into water or fresh mint crushed and added to water. Place any of these in a pot on the stove to simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes. Harmless odor but will freshen the house and the vinegar smell will dissipate leaving a clean scent if you choose that option, do keep you bird safe from the hot water either cover the pot with a screen or keep out of the kitchen.
  13. So true Neoow, ours exchange words and sounds you may hear a phrase once and then never again. Right now two of them do the moo, bark and meow sounds and one often demands fresh water. Some of the others never say a human word but still have fun and interact with other sounds like running water, microwave beep and the little beep when you click to unlock the car. Love them all!
  14. Crushing development, sorry that one did not work out but at least you have lots of cheap entertainment.
  15. Do not give him your credit card numbers, who knows how many pounds of Almonds and toys would suddenly show up.
  16. I use the bigger cages as well, most are approximately 3' wide and 5' tall. As until this week have always been working outside the home and we have dogs and cats cage time when there is no supervision is a safety thing. It is fun to stuff the cages with fresh cut branches from our crape Myrtle and Magnolia so the birds have to work to get to their food dishes.
  17. We have displaced them in their own territory so it is no wonder they are learning to live with us now, much to our chagrin, wildlife was here first. Our issue is squirrels chewing the soffits and entering the attic. When you can here chewing overhead it means yet another repair. Birds eating the molding inside and the squirrel's eating the outside, just can't win sometimes.
  18. Maybe because we have several Greys there is rarely hesitation about moving into another cage. Perhaps competit5ion is the reason or maybe it is due to having a variety of cages so nothing is strange, they love evicting another bird as someone else's cage is always better. The only exceptions would be Sparrow who needs a shallow cage due to a history of sizures and balance issues. Or Smarty Pants (TAG) as he is a bully and is not usually loose when the others are for safety's sake..
  19. Congratulations on your new flock and it is always wonderful when a "used bird" gets a new home as understanding as yours. It shall be interesting watching Scouts personality emerge and his trust grow.
  20. Just her little personality quirk, her territory is defined.
  21. No wonder they become verbal it is not just us they can command now.
  22. Well we have more than 2 Greys here and most of them do not often interact. They do swap dialog and finish each others sentences so I do think they enjoy the flock sounds. Pookie was our first grey then slowly others arrived unlooked for but welcomed. It may add another dimension to Issac's life either way and definitely another personality in your home and heart.
  23. Greys can be clumsy at times especially when young, it can also be an indication that there may not be enough Calcium in his system. Do offer perches of varying diameters and textures to keep those feet and legs healthy.
  24. You just had to present them properly to her highness.
