I noticed this evening she was scratching the side of her head and the side of her beak this was before her nitely feeding just wondering what it can be, going to give her a aloe and water spray tomorrow and keep an eye on her hopeing its not a bacteria infection, when Misty was alive she would scratch away then I noticed she had scratched most of her feathers on both sides of her head away u could actually see her ears and she had a bacteria infection any ideas on what this could be? if I notice her doing this tomorrow I will make a vet apt I also put some palm oil in her food tonite I'am wondering how many times a week to put palm oil in her food?

Congrads on your new baby girl , I just found out our little TAG is a girl, we had picked the name Rudy and Brandy but we decided on Rudy for girl or a boy good luck trying to pic a name , I think thats the hard part, I got Rudy's name from the Cosby Show the little girl was named Rudy

Results are Rudy is a little baby girl, hmmmmm just what I was thinking she was, I think it's great , hubby wanted a boy but now he can a fid daughter

sorry my breeder is retireing this was her last clutch now she is going to do some traveling but u can go to yahoo and put a search in for breeders in your state and something will come up, or some one will be on later and may know a good breeder are u getting a tag or a cag?

great news Char I bet u was a happy camper all of mine seem to love the shower especially my Eclectus he will stay in the shower for a long long time if I let him and my quaker loves it to,we are getting the new baby use to it right now and so far she is doing really great

Rudy turned 10 weeks old friday so I waited to see if she was going to send out the, I'am hungry alarm for this afternoon and yep she did right around 2:30 on the dot but it seems like she is eating alot she will take a good 2 and a half syrnges full before she quits then it cuddle time for at least a good 15 minutes, but at nite she wants a good 30 minutes of cuddling , I know I'am going to miss this time with her when she grows up so I'am really cherishing theese baby days and do not disturb her once she gets in her position with her head all tucked in your chest or she will really squawk , I think she maybe a just a touch spoiled to :)plus she has her own cuddly blanky just for her

I have one of his playgyms and yes they are well worthe the money I think I payed between 300 and 400 for mine,its the deluxe model for Eclectus, Cags , Amazons and birds of that size , heres a few pics of the one I have thoose are all my birds except for my baby Tag isn't in that one , going to get some pics of her on it soon, I added some toys in the middle of it so they have more toys to play with, it's been a great playstand u would love it , have had mine now for 2 years and was and is a very good investment<br><br>Post edited by: Talon, at: 2009/07/18 16:00

ty all I kinda figured the shampoo was a gimik because I only spent the 12.00 for the formula and plus I had a dollar cupon to boot,so I guess I didn't spend enough cash for him lol on the feedings I'am just going to try 2 feedings a day if she wants that afternoon feeding am sure she will let me know and no problem with her haveing it she can have all the formula she wants,I'am not on any time schedule , when she is ready thats fine , maybe I should have bought the 5lb bag u think, she sure does love her formula, she took extra today and tonight about 70cc's, she is a little piggy lol , but omg I love my Rudy

Rudy forgot who her momma is lol, she was on the playstand with KC my Eclectus and she moved over to him and started begging with her mouth wide open she was right up to his beak, KC was not amused lol he got a strange look on his face and let out a big squawk and flew off the playstand, he seems to get along with her very well but I guess that was a little to much , awww my poor boy KC, me and hubby just had to laugh at that one

my birds do not go outside without a harness, KC my Eclectus wears one he isn't real happy about it but he knows he isn't going out side with out it and he loves the outdoors, my quaker jumps right in his lol, going to start putting Rudy my Tag in hers next week and get her use to it and get her some sunshine and fresh air

I was at the bird store today getting more formula for Rudy and one of the guys that works there ask me if I wanted some shampoo for Rudy, I just looked at him and said what, he is telling me that I should shampoo her/him at least once a month, I replied I will have to think about that one and let u know so does anyone shampoo their birds, I have a shower filter on my shower head so that cuts down the chlorine big time and I also use aloe vera mixed with warm water when needed, to me that seems like enough ok opinions and thoughts please? also I have been handfeeding Rudy 3 times a day and she will be 10 weeks old this friday her weights have been 250grams before her morning meal and 283 afterwards at night she has been 261 before and 292.5 after , does thoose sound like good weights, I'am hopeing to cut her down to 2 handfeedings starting saturday so I can get her to eat more pellets and fruits and veggies, she hasn't been to good on eating pellets and so so on the fruits and veggies

sending Rudy's dna test to Avian Biotech in the morning and I should know something in 3 or 4 days through email soooooooo we shall see, I have already started calling her a girl,something tells me she is a little girl instincts of a mother

Hi Julia what a precious baby u have there, I also have a baby Timneh he/she will be 10 weeks old on friday and boy do he/she love to cuddle,sending out for dna test tomorrow so should know in 2 or 3 days what the results are
