  1. Must have shocked the heck outta her....awe LOL
  2. WELCOME! Hope to hear more about your GreyBaby and see many pics! Cristen
  3. Sooooooo Cute!!! How do they become so cute??
  4. CONGRATS ON YOUR NEW CAG...I bet you cant wait to have him home! As far as CAG's and Lovebirds sitting side by side out of cage. I would say that I would not view that as a good idea. I have a lovebird as well and I would never allow them out together side by side as one bite from the grey would be all it would take and byebye lovie. The difference in sizes of their beaks is just too much. My grey was socialized with lovebirds cockatiel babies etc, when she was a baby but, I think that its just not safe. You can never predict what they might do. Your lovebirds are beautiful!! Cristen
  5. Thats too bad, your dad must be quite upset. I think that this is due to the fact that Sunny is two years old. I am no expert but I have been told that at 2 years approx. they change and begin to assert themselves a lot more. I can't see your dad being gone for vacation the reason for him to change like that. The only tip I can give is that the bird should not be in contact with the inside of any persons mouth. Human saliva can carry bacteria and things that can make the bird sick. I will let the Pro's here on the forum tell ya what they think now... Cristen
  6. Thats right... I place dalia on her playstand and give her, her own helpings of what we are eating. She usually is fine to sit there and eat...when she runs outta food thats when she tries sometimes to fly over but she gives the clear warning before she ducks down low and puts up her wings a little and I know what she is about to do so I have to get up and give her somethin else to do or place her in her cage. Just takes time and repetition to have them learn. Cristen
  7. Thats awesome! He's gonna love it to pieces...Literally!
  8. I highly doubt that they bond to the person doing the least as My CAG Dalia is Strongly Bonded to me and I am the one that spends the most time. My hubby wanted to bond with her and has a relationship but not like the one Dalia and I share. Its like Nite and Day. Be careful finding out new things on the net as so many things are not true. But hey! thats why you are here!
  9. WOW INTERESTING THREAD...HAHAHA It's funny how things that we know become funny when explained like this. . . Well Of course I didn't know: Or, if the bird is more like Schroeder, they will dry hump a pinata toy. This will lead to a small piece of pinata grass going up their vent, bloody poo and some interesting sighs at the vet {Feel-good-0002006E}
  10. I think It's wonderful that you are rehoming this grey. Karma to you... and I bet when the bond is strong this birdie will love to finally have outta cage time!
  11. Yes Show us the tatoo!!!! Please??? Hey Judy I wouldn't mind seeing your tatoos too! What is it? what part of your leg? I have one on the right side of my lower back, it is a horse head, beside a native girls face she has a feather hanging down from her head band on the left side of her head. I need a touch up as I got that when I was 16 and I am now 26. Cristen
  12. Look at that pretty baby TAG awe! Your gonna be a busy mama now aren't ya? Thanks for sharing. Very nice pictures. My birds sleep or at least they are quiet until my foot hits the floor once they hear that I am awake my house sounds like a jungle!! Cristen
  13. I think a big part of misunderstanding someones message in a post is also due to the fact that we cannot hear the tone of voice in the words which are typed. So it's important that we type out our words in a way that is hard to misunderstand. Words written can have a way diferent tone than words spoken. CD, GreYt post... I think you wrote out your message and its cleary understood and correct. Cristen
  14. I could have sworn that I posted here and its gone?? Well anyways I wont type it all out again as it was long...I totally agree that all of our animal companions feel what we feel and do their best to be there for us when we are down.
  15. VeRy NiCe PicTuReS....VerY nIcE GrEyB)
  16. Well this will be interesting to read later when more members add their thoughts on this egg laying subject. Dalia my CAG is a dna'd female as well however, she is not even a year yet. So I would love to learn all that I can about this before she lays eggs. ( WHENEVER THAT WILL BE) Im not gonna lie im a little scared of the things that may go wrong. Is there any way to prevent things from going wrong? Cristen
  17. I could not be happier that the wknd is now upon us! I am at work right now, and I hope today goes well and I also hope it goes FAST!:side: Not that I have a FAB weekend planned but I think that spending my time with My Hubby, Dalia, Conner, Cheekz, Timmy, Moe, and TG is all I need to have a greYt time. I hope that we can ALL enjoy a little sunshine and fresh air outside too. My son is with his Grandma and he will not be back until Monday. I miss him. He is 6 and a sweetheart. Im sleepy and my coffee has not kicked in yet... I hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday!! Cristen
  18. YEP YOUR LITTLE GREY IS HAPPY AND COMFY WITH YOU AND YOUR HOME. THATS GREYT. This sound is always relaxing to me and makes me wanna have a nap too!
  19. Tigerlily we cant possibly be the only two crazy bird people that do this...you think??? Noooooo!
  20. Yes yes yes! Hardwood laminate anything that can be wiped mopped and sanitized!!!! Thats what I have too its wonderful. I have a dust buster to grab all that dust and tiny feathers that float around if you just sweep, then sweep, and finally mop! EVERYDAY I DO THIS! Trust me when I tell you I find very yucky things on the wall on the floor, onmy shirt LOL!! But they are my babies and I love em all!
  21. AnnaBella sounds like a very smart and funny girl....You must be so proud of her.
  22. Awe all that effort we put in and sometimes they dont take to it right away... But from what you have posted your grey is shy and slow to accept knew things and thats ok. You are a GreYt mama and I think all your birdie needs is time. My cockatiel named Timid Timmy takes FOREVER to like anything. Make sure you post pics of her playing with it when she finally does!
