  1. Thanks everyone! Yep,no offense to anyone but she is the most beautiful Tag ever, ever in the whole wild world, the smartest too! Yes Judy, I DID IT! Are you so proud, lol. That day, I was just not into the whole thing! Yes, we are blessed and have just under two acres, and 20+ ft. ceilings with huge windows everywhere, I do believe it was meant to be a bird house! Thanks again for the nice comments and for looking.
  2. Fingers crossed! Oh yeah it worked!! <br><br>Post edited by: MrsB, at: 2009/04/15 19:02
  3. Mesa hangs out with me in the bathroom while I get ready after we shower, and a few days ago she discovered my velcro rollers. Different colors and sizes. She stayed silent and so focused on chewing this thing, and it's holding up very well. When it was time to leave the bathroom today, she tried to run away with it, then growled when I grabbed hold of it, :evil: and held on for all she was worth and then spotted another one, let go and ran for the other! Same fight with that one! Brat! :woohoo: She has not ever reacted that way with anything else she plays with.. Including the expensive toys.
  4. jillybeanz, is that "Practical Magic"?? Welcome, I am a newbie myself. I am enjoying all information! Yes, mess. Mesa (coincedence? MESS-A-lol) has breakfast on the counter every morning, and insists on holding her food over the edge, like say her snap peas, so that when she bites through it falls. The floor is covered in poop and bits and bites, lol. I have started thickening her mash so that it isn't quite as "fling-able"! Runny mash will go for five feet if she gets her head into it juuuust right! FORE!!!:woohoo:
  5. I love it...I'm going to get some today! Thanks for sharing that.
  6. OMG...I got ripped off! I just went to that website! OUCH!!:blink:
  7. I use it, on the advice of Mesa's vet, in her mash. I bought it at whole foods, the brand is "Jungle Products" and it was 13.00 for 16 oz.
  8. judygram wrote: Judy, I LOVE that, I grew up on Eastwood Westerns, I love the Good, the Bad and The Ugly too! My hubby loves to cook for fun, (never to put a required meal on the table by dinner time or anything silly like that!) And he is a huge Bobby Flay fan. He and one of our friends have Flay competitions, we go back and forth between their house and ours...and Bobby Flay has a restaurant in Vegas called "The Mesa Grill". We were in Vegas a couple of months ago, and ate there and LOVED it. So, right after we were searching forever for the right name for our new baby. And, on one of the websites we were reading names on, we saw "Mesa". And it was like a lightbulb to us! :woohoo: Of course Mesa! so, we stole it, but still have a connection to it!
  9. i have found that thus far I can get her to eat ANYTHING if it is in Polenta. She almost gets a bit frantic for Polenta. Use an instant polenta with rice milk in the microwave, and then add the yogurt in to cool it. Let me know if it works!! Fingers crossed.
  10. We got Mesa into the shower as soon as she came home. She is very calm by nature, nothing really fazes her. Very even, we are so greatful for that. She puffs up and wiggles around too. She showers at least 4-5 times a week. She sits on her perch and enjoys. Also, on her new Tower, the water bowl is large. She got in it yesterday!!:silly: She kept dunking parts of herself, a leg, her butt, etc and throwing it everywhere! She played for a long time-Loving it! We were so entertained. :laugh: The nearby plants got watered, and I had to wash the windows today!

    Pellet waste?

    I try not to add up the dollars that go up my vacuum in lost Harrisons! Mesa throws out the adult size, so I have her on fine, and they go everywhere! What can ya do? Vacuum, vacuum! :silly:
  12. I feed Harrisons. She came to us on Roudybush, and the way the sticks are seemed easier for her to eat, so i considered keeping her on it. BUT! :ohmy: I compared the ingredients on both, GAH!{Characters-0002005F} Roudybush has so much crap in it, Harrisons has only a fraction of the ingredients and it's all stuff I know and I can pronouce it and would eat myself. The Roudybush 3 or 4 ingredients in gets into stuff I cannot pronounce or know what it is! A lot of the word acid in Roudybush, none in Harrisons. She will stay on it forever! {Emotions-000200BE}
  13. Salmon is a huge hit, and fresh Tuna. But only a little Tuna b/c of the mercury, like LindaMary said. We have salmon every couple of weeks and she has it with us. {Feel-good-00020114}
  14. Yep, Lol, I read it. I am trying to upload from my PC, but it says they are too large, although I uploaded them onto my profile already !? :blink: And I don't want to join photobucket or alter photo sizes etc. I have never seen such a hard process to upload to a group. And, I am OK not posting the pictures! Not worth the headache-lol. :silly:<br><br>Post edited by: MrsB, at: 2009/04/12 19:21
  15. How do you delete a post?...this picture thing is too much brain damage.
  16. I am attempting to attach a pic, can we really only do one at a time? If this comes out with no picture, we'll know why!! OK, I GOT MY PHOTOS LOADED TO MY PROFILE, SO IF ANYONE CARES TO SEE.. THEY ARE THERE! Thanks for your offer and your help judygram! <br><br>Post edited by: MrsB, at: 2009/04/12 19:32
  17. Wanted to say "HI" I am in Colorado, but from Kelowna, BC born and raised! It's nice to connect with other Canucks. B) So sorry to hear about your baby boy, how tragic. Have you considered switiching him to Harrisons food? I think it is the best food out there, and should go a long way to contibuting to him getting healthy. Compare the ingredient lists on yours and the Harrisons. Let us know how it goes with him, is it Ajax after Ajax, ON?
  18. Hello everyone, new to the group. I am mama to "Mesa" the most perfect, darling TAG ever! :kiss: She is ten months old, and spoiled and adored! I am blessed to be able to stay home, and enjoy my days with her. I am married to an incredible man, and have a 20 year old daughter and a 17 yo daughter. I am a Canadian who now lives in Colorado, and have for two years. Ok, that's it, that's me. I am here to learn, learn & learn. I want Mesa's life to be as close to perfect as possible. :cheer:
  19. Mesa is spoiled too, but I get such contentment and satisfaction from doing it. Like, at 11:15 PM tonight I made her Quinoa mix for tomorrow after spending hours online reading through recipes etc. to get new ideas. I cook for her everyday, she gets three prepared meals. I bake bread, and make granola for her, and pancakes on the weekends are enjoyed by her as well. I go to the market and buy her a wide variety of fresh veggies and fruit every couple of days. I also tend to take her everywhere I can. If it's not banned, she's coming with me. It is so bad that before I even take my first cup of coffee in the morning, I am preparing her breakfast. I also allow her to eat on the kitchen counter for breakfast, and then spend a good ten minutes cleaning the counter, floor and vicinity after she is done. She is a "mash flinger". Having her eat in her cage would be easier I suppose! No thanks! :silly: She showers with me or my husband everyday as well. I also hand make a lot of her toys to make sure she has a lot of variety, and I spend wayyy too many dollars on new bought toys as well. And finally....I am here, aren't I? It is 12:18 a.m! I belong to a few Grey groups to spend huge amounts of my days seeking out more knowlege, more information so I can be an even better Mama! B)<br><br>Post edited by: MrsB, at: 2009/04/12 08:21
  20. My TAG is ten months old and as a staple she gets Harrisons Adult Fine, that is available to her all the time. In the morning she gets warm mash, which consists of a base of Organic 7 whole grain cereal, mixed beans,brown rice, palm oil, some dried chili peppers, and some rice milk. To that I vary it every morning, sometimes mashed banana, or a variety of Organic baby food, vegtable or fruit. She also gets cooked vegtables at this time, she LOVES cauliflower and broccoli and frozen mixed veggies, all warmed up a little. I also make her a granola from scratch with many goodies in it that she snacks on as well. I sneak sweet potato in where I can as well. For lunch she has some fruit, Papaya or apple or, or, or...and although I vary it from day to day it is usually something like Quinoa with some greens mixed in when it is cooked, like finely chopped Kale or Collard Greens or brussel sprouts, all cooked. I sometimes add cinnamon and or garlic to her meals too. Nightime she gets an organic instant Oatmeal with a little rice milk, sometimes a little sprinkle of mixed cheese, and a baby food vegtable mixed in. Once a week for breakfast she has scrambled egg (not a whole one!) with shells, and I vary that with different spices to flavor too. She eats tofu mixed in to mash here and there, she loves whole grain toast with Almond butter on it, I make her a bird bread that she loves and also she will devour anything if it is in Polenta. She goes nuts for Polenta! And then I give her a couple of sunflower seeds, and some sesame seeds, and pumpkin seeds in a separate dish each day. She also eats a little sliced turkey breast (all natural) occasionally, she also snacks on uncooked french beans, she has fun ripping them open to get the little "peas" inside, same as Sugar Snap Peas. I try and change it up a lot, and make sure that all nutrient requirements are met. This little girl is an eater! Not much she will turn down. She doesn't care for strawberries or blackberries yet, we'll keep trying. But almost all other fruit is OK with her, but I limit that too, and try and get her to eat a lot of vegtables.
