Whisper just sounds too smart! I bet you're so proud!

I'd love to be able to buy my parrot food and toys at the local pet store, but they don't stock anything for parrots. I have to drive 20 minutes to get to a PetSmart or Feeders Supply instead.

I have a sleep cage for my jenday conure, but not my grey. The conure 'cries' to be near me at night, so he has a day cage and a sleep cage in my bedroom, next to my bed. The grey stays in the living room and seems to be content without an extra cage to sleep in. But I do think having a sleeping cage is helpful with territorial birds. Good luck!

I'd never spend this much time preparing food for my HUMAN kids, much less for an animal, before having my CAG! And all to have it flung to the bottom of the cage in 2 seconds flat! Sheesh!

It's always the same here. Me: What'cha doing, sweetheart? Dodo: Wanna Kiss? Mwaaah! Mwaaah! Me: Do you wanna eat your vegetables? (as I impatiently wait for him to eat anything but his pellets and seed!) Dodo: Wanna Kiss? Mwaaah! Mwaaah! Me: I love you, Dodo! Dodo: Wanna Kiss? Mwaah! Mwaah! Hopefully he'll eventually learn another phrase, cause this one is driving me bonkers, fast! LOL My 10 year old was half asleep on the couch and swore he heard him say, "I love you, Dodo!" LOL So apparantly he can say other things and just refuses to!

How do I get him to say something more than "Wanna Kiss" and make kissy sounds all day long? LOL I guess we've all said that so much to him that it's all he's learned! I'm pretty pleased, though, because he's only 10 months old.

My CAG is 10 months old, and so far I've never been bitten. I don't think I'm doing anything special, she and I just seemed to "click" right away.

I know what you mean about the glasses getting destroyed! Mine have deep scratches and bite marks down the sides, but that doesn't stop me from keeping my grey on my shoulder, either!

Hello, Ann Marie! What great news about your baby CAG! Let's hope these next 2 months go quickly for you, until you bring your new baby grey home! Congratulations!

Congrats on your baby CAG! I know how exciting it is to begin this new adventure with a grey! My baby always steps onto my shoulder, too, and nuzzles in my neck all the time. It's normal for them not to want to be apart from you while you're home, but hopefully your cag will start to spend some time playing on the cage top soon, too!
