I think maybe you should start leaving the house more than you do now during the day before you start working. Just so he can slowly get use to you not being there during the day. Make sure to give him extra foraging toys for him to keep busy. A lot of people work fulltime and still have very happy greys. Once you get a new routine going he should be fine. Good luck and congrats on the new job!

Haha your spoiling your baby already! Don't worry I was the same way and still am.. :blink: I waited 4 months for my baby and within a month I had everything I needed including the food and the simpliest things like newspaper for the bottom of the cage haha! I absolutely love bird fairs and go crazy shopping when they do come to my town so your not the only one with the addiction haha! :laugh: I can tell you are going to be a great parront to Sloopy and spoil him/her like crazy. Thats great Pat but why are you getting another one when the one you made is just about the same thing. Those are very expensive and I think you made a very creative one for probably really cheap. You definitely love to spoil your birds huh? Thats great though you are a great parront.

No he didn't bite them, just swooped down really fast and then flew away. He will be 5 months old next Monday so he still young and I think it's pretty odd behavior being that young. It was the only yesterday that this happened so I will see if he keeps doing it and will let you guys know.

Yesterday Ecko was acting completely different when people came into our house. He is usually very good around people and still has not bit anymore and will step up to them most of the time. But yesterday when someone came into our house he would puff up and dive bomb them. First it happened to my boyfriends sister(she is 21 y/o). Ecko absolutely loves his sister everytime we go to her house he always flies to her and she plays with him and they get along great. But it was so weird, when she walked in the door he puffed up, took off and swooped down on her really fast. He did this to her twice. Then she left and a couple hours later we had more visitors, my b.f's neice(7 y/o) and her mother(26 y/o.) He did the exact same thing to them. First he did it to his neice, who he is usually really good with her, and then to her mom. Everytime they walked he would go for them and get really puffy. So I had to hold him in order for them to leave. They are our neighbors and they visit a lot so its not like they are strangers to him. It is really strange behavior, I've never seen him do this before so what could it be? Is he being territorial to his home? The weird thing is just that morning my mom came over and she picked him up with no problems and he didn't puff up to her at all. Do you guys have any opinions on this? Sometimes when I am walking with Ecko he will poop out of nowhere and I end up stepping on it eww :sick: When they gotta go they gotta go lol. When you take Coco out of the cage you should start a routine where you tell him to poop in a certain place. Some people are very succesful with potty training their greys, maybe this could help you. Also about the nipping of the arm, try giving him a toy to nip at instead of your arm. Is he nipping hard? Maybe he is just testing to make sure your arm is stready enough lol who knows? I'm no expert but hopefully this helps you a little.

Ecko has a bald spot under there too. Everytime he makes a noise I can see it move lol is that weird? It's kind of hard to explain, does Beau's do that too?
