Some great photography, Char. I took the liberty and looked through many of your albums. I especially loved the Chihuahua puppy and baby hummingbird. I am truly impressed. Great work!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
So glad all is well with Torry and Boesman and no real harm was done to either of them. They are still very new to each other. Hopefully they will call a truce and all will go peacefully for them. My Eclectus and Grey are finally learning to tolerate each other, though I still keep a very close eye on them both. Good luck with your two fids Natasha.
Pat, the bird room does make life so much easier. I just sit on my rolling stool and clean the cages in one easy swoop. When its bedtime I just turn out the light and close the door. Ana Grey and Sully seem to love it a lot. My office is also so much easier to clean without Ana Grey's cage in it. Have fun redoing one of your rooms!!!!
Sorry about the brace problem Brittany. Hopefully Pepper will find something more interesting to nibble on soon. I took my new Eclectus outside without a harness or cage a few times and he sat quietly on my shoulder and then one day he just lifted off and flew 20 feet towards the street. I was lucky to have reached him before he took off again. Sully is clipped too. It's amazing what they can do when they are determined. I immediately got a new travel cage for him. I only take him and Ana Grey outside in their travel cages now. I am just so grateful that Sully didn't decide to take off every time I got close to him. This is my sweet lumbering giant, I didn't think he had it in him to take off like that. Was I rudely awaken!!! I wish you and your sweet Pepper a long and happy life together. It is so clear that you trust and love her dearly.
Congratulations Cassandra on your new puppy. I love German Shepherds. It is one of my favorite dog breeds and I have had a few in my lifetime. My last Shepherd was Sugar she would help me carry wood for the fireplace. She would alway walk beside me with a fire log in her mouth when I gathered wood. I will always miss her, such a sweet companion. Pictures, I would love to see some pictures of your sweet puppy. Can't wait!!!!
Pearllyn, its nice to hear from you and Alfie. Congratulations, on your little girl!! Sorry to hear about all of Alfie's problems, but you are a good parront to immediately get to the bottom of the problems. I will be sending out good thoughts and wishes for Alfie's quick and complete recovery. Good luck with the diet. Please keep us posted on your sweet grey!
Thanks everyone for the kind words and thoughts!!! Most of the toys were purchased before Ana Grey came home. Sully doesn't play with toys very much. I'm hoping once he is really comfortable here, he will relax and play more.
Pat, Sully hasn't plucked at all. I see new feathers and fluff every day. I am so hopeful that he will be fully feathered in no time. And yes they seem to get along all right. Of course, neither is flighted and I still keep an eagle eye on them.

Bailey, I love this style cage!!! It is an EZCare Playtop Cage for medium birds. The entire front panel swings open for easy cleaning. The bars are non-toxic powder coated. The ceramic crocks are heavy and easy to clean. Newspaper fits great in the cage trays (top and bottom) without folding anything. To me that is worth gold. I store birdie necessities on the bottom shelf. Pet Solutions.com had them on sale for $299 when I brought Sully's cage a month ago. I put small toys in the two crocks on top. I would recommend this cage to anyone looking for a cage for medium sized birds.

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2009/06/12 03:02

Diane don't give up. DanMcQ of our forum, his bird Jake flew out the door and he just got him back after a couple of weeks of his being missing. Please read his thread Jake Flew Away to see what he did and how he got Jake back. He had an ad on Craigslist and he got a call from a lady who had found Jake. Post around the neighborhood, knock on doors, but don't give up. Prayers for Polly's safe return!
Hang in there Nick, things will get easier. Then one day you retire, draw your pension and social security and . . . (yawn) . . and listen to your bones creak!!! Want to trade!!! {Feel-good-00020069}

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2009/06/12 00:20
