1. You get a memo saying that all employees are welcome to take their computers home whenever they want. You are elated and quickly gather up your work computer. At home you excitedly plug the computer in and find much to your dismay that it is programmed only to your office and all you can do on it is work related to your job!!! I wish I was queen for a day.
2. Elisha, great photo of you and Indy. Can't wait to hear more about what he is learning to say!!!
3. My goodness you just brought your baby home. She is still settling in. I would try a piece of nut to see if she will take that. She will not starve to death. For unless they are ill they will always eat. The only way I know my birds are drinking water is because I find bits of food in the water. And I know they eat their pellets because I find bits of crushed pellets in the dish. And they are always pooping so I know they eat even if I don't always see them do it! Relax and enjoy your sweet baby grey for if you are nervous she will pick up on it and react the same. They are so intuitive. So calm down and love your sweet grey!
4. Congratulations on Zel coming home. How long has your baby been with you? When I brought Ana Grey home I cuddled her a lot. Ana Grey was well socialized by her breeder and settled right in. Tell us a little more about Zel. Can you handle her at all? It all takes time and you must gain Zel's trust first and foremost. Good luck!
5. Look how big your sweet grey is!!!!! How exciting, he is almost ready to come home!!! Congratulations on your beautiful grey!!!
6. Words cannot express how happy I am for you and Kim and your companions both four-footed and winged!!!! All I can say is:

8. My rescued Eclectus use to rub his beak against the bars of his cage. I have watched him do it at the pet shop. He is bald in that area. I try to watch him carefully and I haven't seem him do it in his new cage so I am hopeful the bald spot will go away. So I agree perhaps your grey is rubbing his face somewhere and wearing that area bald.
9. You are amazed and delighted that all the pretty flowers in the world do not die. BUT the flower industry is up in arms and looking for your head as no one needs to buy bouquets of roses or flower arrangements because now that pretty flowers never die no one needs new ones. Husbands are at a loss of what to buy their wives as forgive me gifts. Life has gotten much more expensive for all the people in the world who need forgiveness and use to give flowers. You are in deep poo poo all around!!!! I wish we could have a GreyForum conference!

I am hoping that once Sully is fully feathered that the owner will let me buy this Sunny Conure who has totally plucked his chest feathers off. If I can get this sweet Sunny Conure I will be done rescuing!!!! My plate will be full!!!!
17. No I didn't make it. I'm not that creative!!! It is a long/short cargo net from Parrot and Conure World.com. They have them in all different sizes. Some people hang them totally from their ceilings. Ana Grey likes to look out the window. B)

23. Ana Grey is not a chewer of my furnishings or furniture, thank goodness!! It is a large net; its 8' x 6' I believe. And it is heavy (17 lbs). I have it hanging on four ceiling hooks. Ana Grey loves it and heads for it all the time. It is her main place to be and climbs all over it. I put treats and nuts in some of the toys so she is always busy foraging for goodies. I am very pleased with it and glad she loves it so such. I am hoping Sully will also!!!

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2009/06/06 19:50
