  5. Great poem for our sweet Caitlin!!!
  6. Have you tried birdie muffins? I think there is a recipe or two in the recipe thread of this Bird Room forum. I also give my fids Cheerios mixed in with their fruit in the morning or pieces of toasted wheat/raisin toast.
  7. Relax you have only had Star a short time. I'm sure he is just regrouping and getting use to his new surroundings. When I got my Ana Grey at 4 months old, I took her around to all the windows, glass doors and mirrors and just tapped them so she could see that they were solid. I also have decals on my patio door and larger windows. I occasionally remind her of the windows once in awhile. Leave the cage door open and sit down and talk to Star, he'll get curious and come out, just wait and see. You are going to be a great parront, just be patient.
  8. Pat you have Harley's heart that's for sure. How rewarding for you!!! You go girl!!!

  12. Hi Kymberley, from your Avatar I can see what a real cutie Gismo is. As others have already said there are oodles of threads within the forum to help you with your baby. Look around and ask any questions you might have. Welcome to the grey family!!!
  13. Congratulations, Koko has decided to respect your wife and poo elsewhere!! As for your friend who won the lottery, he'll probably be over quite often for a little more good luck!!!!! :silly:
  14. Hi Cyndi, glad you decided to join us. You have questions so do we!!!!! What is your older grey's name? And have you come up with a name for your baby? There is a lot of information here in the forum so look around and read, read, read and ask any questions you might have. Welcome to the grey family!!!
  15. I like Captain Kirk it is so appropriate for Jim. Spock sure looks up to him. Love the pictures, thanks for sharing them!!!
  16. Ouch, I am so sorry for your husband's pain. For sure the kissing should be off limits. I hope your husband feels better soon and that he and Yo-yo can mend their relationship.
  17. Brian I think you read your fid Savage very well. Perhaps he will be much nicer the next time you have to leave him with his regular sitter.
  18. Pat you know birds so well, it will take a lot for Harley to be able to put one over on you. I can tell by the excitement in your posts that you are having just too much fun with your new companion. Harley is a very lucky guy!!!
  19. What a little stinker!!!! Cute pictures!!!! Thanks for sharing Jay and Maggie!
  20. Hey Brian, Savage certainly must have missed you oodles and must have thought you had abandoned him. Hopefully your regular sitter will always be available in the future. What a great bond the two of you have. Savage probably thinks you have a lot of explaining to do about where you have been. You are so lucky to have such a loving companion!!! What a great parront you might be!!!
  21. Thanks for the correction, Lady Judy!!! Dave's lucky to have you there always watching his back.
  22. Ahhhh great minds, I too have foraging toys and devices at different areas of my house, a foraging wheel on a boing, a foraging ball at another, several coconut shells on the cargo net in the office and at the large perch in the living room. Kabobs are placed at one place or another in the main rooms of the house which I fill with fresh vegetables or fruit. My birds aren't flighted yet so I have knotted climbing ropes at each site so they can climb up as they like. I believe they have so many interesting places to scavenge their food from that they don't think to chew on my electrical cords or woodwork. But only time will tell as Ana Grey gets older and flighted.
