1. Oh thanks for this uplifting update Ramsabi. It's wonderful that Risha is eating and whistling!
2. Well Bernie, superfluous means: 1. being more than is sufficient or required; excessive. 2. unnecessary or needless. 3. Obsolete. possessing or spending more than enough or necessary; extravagant. Sorry
3. I'm glad Meiko has taken his clipping in stride. Thanks for the update.
4. What a sad story, but because of you and your family what a beautiful future for General Beauregard Grey. Karma to you Robin for taking in this sweet baby! Can't wait to see some pictures because all greys are beautiful!
5. Jim sounds like such a great and enjoyable grey. I would love to hear him in a video. He must be so much fun to be around. Thanks for sharing him with us!
6. I don't know anything about horses only pain. I believe the injection is the best way to go. I have had major heart stopping and brain surgeries. Before a surgery I was given a sedative so that there was a calm and light feeling and going to sleep was very pleasant. This is the way for your companion to go. There will be no pain and no fear. Bless your sweet companion and may she have the peace she deserves after so many loyal years.

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2009/09/30 02:49
7. The boings can be stretched or be squashed up. Are you putting it in the cage or hanging it outside. I have both types and Ana Grey who is a small grey loves them both regardless.

19. I mix it in the bird muffins I make my fids instead of as much vegetable oil. I have also added it to their vegetables.

21. I pray that Tiko is okay. Hopefully it was just nervous jitters at being in a new place that caused the throwing up. Praying for a happy outcome for Tiko. He is so beautiful!

23. Very nice thread Jane. Before I got Ana Grey I became a member of this forum and read all the information, okay a lot of the information here. The things I didn't want my grey to fear I put in the back of my mind to make sure that my grey wouldn't fall prey to that fear. The fear of new things and change: from the get go I have just put new toys or perches in Ana Grey's cage or around the house and she is not afraid of new things. I clean her cage every day and am in it all the time so that it is not her "territory." I throw a towel over Ana Grey's head and played peek a boo with her so she is not afraid to be toweled. I was so proud when I took Ana Grey to be micro-chipped and when they wanted to sedate her and I refused to let them they later told me that she was the sweetest grey that they had seen in a long time. That she made not a peep while they handled her and that she was as good as gold. All greys are different. To assume that all are afraid of this or that is unfair to the ones who are willing to explore and are adventurous. Karma to you Jane for this thread.
