Wow I have been reading thru this thread and boy are CAGs big. So much bigger than my TAG at 290g!!!

My Ana Grey scratches on the grate of her cage when she wants out. As if the scratching will make the cage wall disappear. Perhaps your grey does this thinking the dishwasher or pillows will move. I would like to see your video of this activity if you have it to share.

You can't train a grey to like or dislike someone. It is the particular grey's choice. Some greys only like one person, some like more than one, some will only tolerate other people. It depends on the grey. It is not always the person who cares (feeds/cleans the cage, etc.) for the grey. I live alone and my grey loves me and is leery of others. When my family are over, she accepts them but will only fly to my nine-year old grandson and land on his shoulder (which I immediately remove her from). She for some reasons likes him. I remove her from his shoulder as I do not want her to bite him.

I don't offer my fingers for perching, I always offer my arm. I have a bleeding problem and this works better for me.

Congrats on your new baby Gugu. I agree giving Gugu quality time much more important than quantity. Gugu is bonded to you and having quality time with you will make him so much more happy. Please share some pictures of Gugu with us when you get a chance.

Hi Lyndsey it's nice to hear from you again. It is so true we never get over the loss of someone we love. I just try to think of my lost love one as been in a much better place, healthy, happy and flying free and just having a good time watching me deal with life.

You know Abe, I talk to my Ana Grey all the time. I believe they understand a lot more than you think. You have said that ThaThaMo can tell when you are thinking about your Dad and knows when you are sad. I wanted to update this thread to let everyone know that Little Dino is now a healthy little boy!!! Thank you all for your kind words and support! As a reminder, when Dino was born (June 28, 2009) he was about 3 months premature and weighed 2 lbs. 10 ozs. He is now 14 lbs and a happy healthy bundle of love and almost 7 months old.
