Just read this thread, after posting about Ana Grey's hairdressing abilities. So that is her fetish I guess. Removing my hair bands from my ponytails so that my hair comes down!!!! I have my own hairdresser, she loves to preen my hair!
I'm finding out that Ana Grey is a natural hairstylist. Well at least opinionated. I need a haircut and have been waiting for Mother's Day because my daughter and I are going to the beauty shop together while the men fix Mother's Day Dinner. Anyway, Ana Grey has decided that she doesn't like my hair in a ponytail. Every time she sits on the back of my desk chair, which is all the time, she undoes my elastic hair band.. by biting through it!!! So that adds up to at least two (2) hair bands a day and that ends up at about $120 a year in elastic hair bands!!!!!. I just have to get my hair cut soon!!!!!
Sheila I have been eying your aviary for fids for a long time, I love it! I'm thinking of having one built attached to my office window (faces the morning sun) so that Ana Grey and Sully can come in and out the window right into the aviary! Great picture by the way!
Being one of the older members here and having a very young grey, I worry about what happens if I should leave this part of my life. Life is uncertain and certainly unpredictable so it is something we all need to think about. It is not the responsibility of our family to figure out the re-homing of our birds, it is ours.
So even if this is not a pleasant thing to think about, what would happen to your grey/fids if for some reason you were no longer available to care for them? What would you want done to insure the future happiness of your grey?
That's what happens when you have oodles of time on your hands. Also a very computer oriented knowledgeable grandson who indulges his gramma and her cries for HELP!!!!!.
Jill, I call it nosey!!!! I noticed the green lights also but have been waiting patiently for an explanation unlike some people (Jill). I also like the green light after the sign in names. Green light means that person is on line. Great new features!!!!! This is going to be so much fun!!!
Hi jacarual so glad you decided to introduce yourself into the Grey family. I can't wait to hear more about your little flock and see your pictures. Your converted aviary sounds very interesting!
Now I understand a little more about their abilities. When Ana Grey said, "Want some apple, I'll be good." I couldn't figure it out. So I thought about what I had said to her. I do say, You be good and I do say, I'll be back. So perhaps she has combined them and thinks my name is "I'll.
Hi Bernard, I just wanted to say that I find Blue fascinating. I wish you would come on line and talk to us about Blue. I suspect he has had a very exciting and wonderful life. Janet
i took my seed catchers off when I started moving the cages from room to room. Both of my fids are pretty neat about their food and don't drop much outside of their cages. Sully, my ekkie will even carry his food over to his food bowl so that if it drops it lands in the bowl and not the bottom of the cage. So for me, the catchers are just a bother.
So Spock, you didn't say will your parronts be running in the River Run???? it sounds like fun. You could fly along ahead and guide their way! No another note, I remember biker days. All the guys were tug boat captains or crew and the ladies various sorts, photographer, paralegal or whatever and we would fly down country roads and have rest stops at country taverns or... why I remember very clearly the stop at the nude beach..... but then that's another story!!!! Anyhow the river run certainly sounds like fun.
Yes it must be true, Ana Grey is talking more now. The "Want some apple" is now accompanied by " I'll be good." Where did that come from. I do say to her--You be good-- but this is hers, "Want some apple, I'll be good". So it must be the warmer days and sunlight. Frankly, i wouldn't ponder on it too much Jill, just enjoy Harvey's great attitude!!!
