What a heartbreaking story with a wonderful happy-ending. It sounds like Kehei is so very loved by her first parront. What a truly loving thing for David to do. Thank you for sharing her story with us. I can't wait to hear more about her new life and how she thrives with her new forever family.

Ana Grey has never had a permanent leg band. Her breeder attached a rubber one just to identify her babies one from the other. I have Ana Grey chipped. I like this way of being able to identify her if she is lost as a band can be removed.

Sanggay, I say it all the time. I enjoy watching Cocoa fly. I have a question. Something I have thought about doing with Ana Grey. Are you familiar with how falcons and other birds of prey are attached to outdoor perches? They have a jess of leather sometimes permanent sometimes not with swivels and leashes that attach to their leg so that they cannot fly away. Have you considered this as a way to do away with the harness? Ana Grey hates the harness and picks at it all the time so I was thinking...... I would like your thoughts on this if you don't mind.

Sully is a very quiet and set in his ways ekkie. He never plays and never sits anywhere except in one of his cages. He must have had a very sad life because if I try to put him on a stand or perch he just jumps off and heads for his cage. Ana Grey pesters him all the time but all Sully does is shriek so I will come "save" him. I wish I knew how old he really is because he acts like a very old man. I just try to make his life as pleasant as possible with good food and love. At least he is not plucking right now, so I am pleased.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh Dave!!!!! Shame on you! So sorry Kate got pooped on but that's the way of the grey!!!!! Always keep us guessing!!

You have certainly come to the right place to learn about greys. So please do search through the many threads here at the forum as there is oodles of important information here. At the beginning of the Room called the Grey Lounge Dave 007 has posted a very informative thread about greys. Please read through it. Of the two greys, I would probably choose grey #1 for you because it is younger and probably much more use to people. But please do a lot more research before deciding if a grey is the right parrot for you.

Michelle I commend you for working every angle you could to help Paul get his Yoshi home. No one is faulting you. I do hope Paul will join the forum and get to know us all. Everyone here only wants what is best for all greys! And yes some of us get carried away. The main thing is, is that Yoshi is home safe and sound and for that Hooray!!!!!

Thanks everyone! I don't think she sounds like me, but hey, who am I to know!!!!!!!! Note that some of the talking is me talking to her. Lyn as you can see from her avatar picture taken when she was 4 months old, she has always been dark. She is now charcoal colored with a dark V as you said. I guess I just never noticed because frankly the only greys I see in my town are Congos. I have never seen a Timneh except her and her siblings when they were young. Ana Grey does love her cargo net and always has from the very first day. She really isn't afraid of much except loud noises. The cargo net is huge and I have considered cutting it in half, but then what would I do with the other half????
