  1. Thanks for the post Professor, I hope they put a lid on the problem before it moves any further.
  2. Thanks for sharing some of your African trip with us, Sheila!!!!! It must have been thrilling and a little bit scary at times!!!!! Did you see any African Grey out in the wild by chance???
  3. Loved the video Lyn!!!! I miss the morning chorus I use to hear when I lived in the country! Thanks for the memory!
  4. My grey goes where she wants and always has. The only thing she respects is me. Ana Grey has never pooped on me. Her choice. I never did anything to prevent it. So I don't know why it doesn't happen. She just chooses not to poop on me for which I am grateful! Before I got my grey I redid all my floors. I took out all the carpets and put in hardwood laminated floors in anticipation of having a flighted companion. I was truly disappointed when the breeder clipped my young grey even though she knew I wanted her flighted. The only good thing about Ana Grey being clipped is that she always had to sit on her perches and boings. So even though she is flighted now she by habit goes to the window perches and room boings as she did for over a year while she waited to become flighted. I keep newspaper under all this places and change them daily after my fids go to bed.
  5. Hurray Joey! I can just picuture Spock, Salsa and Joey dive bombing you and Jay, Maggie!!! How I remember Ana Grey's flights when she first started to fly. She is now very good at maneuvering around the house and making sharp turns! Way to go Joey!!!
  6. Great video Sheila!!! Would love to hear more about your African trip and see more video. Perhaps in the Other Topics Room if you have more video of other things not about birds. I am so jealous it had to have been a wonderful trip. The pelicans are fantastic thank you for sharing them with us!
  7. Microwave popcorn. What's wrong with microwave popcorn????
  8. Well my PET aka TAG Ana Grey thanks you!!
  9. Hahaha, for a minute I thought that was my grey on her cage!!! Lovely TAG! It that an EZ Care playtop cage? I just love Ana Greys. Have a great Hatch day Rudy!!!!
  10. Lovely coloring on these amazon. Very nice report Jay! Thanks once again for preparing for us another interesting chapter into the amazon world.
  11. Happy Hatchday Rudy! Hope you get lots of goodies for being one-year old. Pictures please!
  12. Sorry about the loss of your camera Adina. I hope you get a new camera soon. My favorite part of the video is Emma's "Roses and red, violets ....."
  13. Ana Grey can be stubborn about coming down from her cargo net or the top of her playtop so I just bribe her with a walnut or almond. She will always come down and step up with a nut! She is such a little piggy for a treat! If she is on one of her perches or boings she will usually step up for me.
  14. Ha, ha I think you should have to guess Jilly!!!! What kinds of animals would Janet have??????
  15. Wow, can I come visit you and your wife, you have such beautiful countryside and climate and fascinating wildlife. Great pictures Sanggay! Thanks!
  16. Love it!!!! Great video. Very smart macaw!! I wonder how she would do with a Rubik cube????
  17. My fids call out to me also. I just answer back and that seems to quiet them down most of the time. I always tell them "I'll be back" when I leave a room, that seems to help also. If I am gone too long and one of them calls me again I answer back. It seems they just want to know where I am and that I haven't abandoned them.
  18. Great job Murphy!!! Ana Grey has her landing spots also. Mostly because she couldn't fly when she can to live with me and is just use to them now. i think its a great idea to help Murphy learn were he can go and can't while he is still young.
  19. Great video, Emma can certainly entertain herself and all of us too!!!! Thanks Adina!
  20. Now, now Dr. Flock, I know if I posted that I had found a baby vulture and needed to know how to care for it, you would do your darnedest to help me find a way to save it! This nursery and your expertise should be available to all our fids whatever species!
  21. Vree is learning to fend for himself and adjusting nicely, Kathryn. He certainly is a very smart little guy! I pray he continues get better and better. Life can be very busy Kathryn we can all understand that. Thank you for keeping us updated.
  22. Yes it is exciting!!!! And I totally understand!!! I waited over 30 years for my parrot! My sweet Ana Grey! Enjoy Reggieroo!
  23. Ana Grey likes to be with me a lot except when she is pestering my ekkie Sully and stealing his food. When Ana Grey is being a little pill, I just exercise her. I put her on my arm and gently launch her off so that she must fly to her window perch, playtop, boing or cargo net depending on what room we are in. She likes to maneuver around in a loop and come back to me and I just launch her again. She eventually gets tired gets a treat and everyone can relax and enjoy some quiet time. The point is to do something with my grey to give the excess energy somewhere to go. For us the mini-flights work.
  24. Not to worry Ryan, Jill is in charge of care packages, I'll gladly handle the holding of funds for your bail, everyone can just wire transfer their donation funds to my personal bank account and I'll pop right over the border and bail you out. Isn't the closest route to Canada from Washington state through Hawaii????? Will be waiting with packed luggage to hear how things go!!! Good Luck!!
