My heart goes out to you. I had my 17 year old arab x tb put to sleep many years ago now,she had navicular.It is horrible.Her name was Dulcie and she was the love of my life.The method you choose is personal to you and the method you can cope with.In theory injection sounds the best but I have heard and sadley witnessed both methods and I have to say the mare I witnessed being put down with injection did not have an easy end.That led me to having Dulcie put to sleep with a humain distroyer.She had her head in a bucket of feed and knew nothing.She was tranqualized first.Yes it was horrible but I know she died instantly.<br><br>Post edited by: she, at: 2009/09/30 21:21

It is down to the individual bird,some talk some dont. I dont think the parents have any influance on a birds ability to talk.Most dont start talking till on average one year old and by then have long since left the parents.

Charlie laughs, boy does he laugh.What gets me going is that he laughs at the right time.If a comedy is on tv, or I am sharing a joke with a friend he laughs out loud. It is a real propper laugh. Dan If Charlie let me video him I would. He shuts up the second he sets eyes on a camera.If you watch the video of Blue you can hear Charlie as clear as anything, but that was because He did not see the camera.

I tried the sugar cane Jill.I had the same problem.I just did not know how to offer it.Charlie was too scared of it to pick up and chew so it got wasted.
