  1. Hey everyone, I hope you are all having a great Friday night. My little fellow (CAG) should be arriving next week. I'm so excited - woo hoo! I went to the bird farm today and the sales person recommended getting the book "A Guide to a Well Behaved Parrot." She recommended this over "For the Love of Greys." Should I get one, both? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Nightie night, it's been a long day.
  2. I'm anxiously awaiting the finalization of the process. Waiting is difficult, especially when I want him now. I hope the deal goes through without any problems. I'll keep you informed and post pictures when my baby is home with us. Have a fantastic Friday!
  3. Thanks so much for answering and the nice welcome. I'm finalizing the plans for the new addition to our family, and so excited. I'll be sure to keep you all posted when I learn more information. Have a great evening!
  4. Hi there, I'm about to get my first CAG too! I'm really really excited. Have you had other birds? If so, what kind? I have two cockatiels, Fred (14) and Barnie (around 4 years old). We're trying to figure out a name for our little guy now. What are you naming yours? This seems like a nice forum. I'm sure we'll both be visiting for years to come.
  5. Hi everyone. Just found this awesome forum. I'm hoping to be a new paront very shortly. I'm about to speak with someone about a 5-month-old Congo African Grey. Five months is a good age to purchase, isn't it? What sort of questions should I ask? The Grey will be shipped via Delta airlines. I've had cockatiels for 14 years, but never anything larger. I've seen pictures and the Grey is beautiful. I fell in love with him instantly, and I've been researching and visited a pet store last night without seeing anything interesting or appealing to me. Thanks in advance for any input. This is the info I have so far: The bird is weaned and ready to go. The bird does well socially. It has been raised with a family and children along with other animals. It's friendly and sweet, and no bad habits thus far.
