Fawkes has been with us for 3 weeks now I believe and she is just amazing! Of course she gives the occasional nip...but she then tells herself "ohh bad girl, naughty grey bird" wich is just the cutest thing, when she says it! Last night I had her out at the computer with me and every time I would take a drink of my soda she would make this water sound effect that she learned the other day. Then when she would see one of the cats she would say "oh" and then she would blow air at them! She also now copies the sound of us blowing our noses (gross yes but funny), she has picked up 3/4 of the andy griffith theme song just from me whistling it 3 times. I changed her water yesterday and asked her to watchout so I could put it back in her cage and she goes "why" so I say because I have your water and she says "water", wich she had never said before either. Well I just thought i would share some of Fawkes interesting vocab with you all!! I truly enjoy every minute with my (as she say) "pretty grey girl!"

Sounds like you have a great baby there!! I know my baby lovies are nippy little things even while handfeeding!! Though they dont bite like a parent raised one. Thanks for the wonderful story!!

OMG!!! Thats to funny!

Im trying to spend enough time with all the birds even though I should be in bed resting because of having influenza but since Im not resting why not take pictures? LOL! Here are some new ones of Fawkes!!

well ok these are not birds but.....We had a litter of kittens last night and they are adorable!!! Here they are!!

Yes they are!! I love every minute of it..though right now im terribly sick and even the finches sound loud to me!! LOL! But on any normal day I love every noise they all make!!

Awwww hes adorable!!! I also looked at your pictures of the crested gecko you had! What a doll!! We are going to be getting a crested in March...im so excited.

Judy I just realized I never answered you question!! We have a bird room but they all have their own cages in there. However the "big" birds are in my room... Aries,Fawkes,Pocco also the finches, canaries and Budgies and my baby birds. They get seperate out of cage time mostly, though Aries, Pocco, and Fawkes are out on their cages all day and just basically ignore eachother. They watch the fish and the little birds and talk to eachother when Im not in the room. Aries however is very quiet and really only makes little clicking and kissing noises. But they all do get daily interaction time with me, also Titus and Truman play together on occasion...but Truman tends to get hormonal after that so we try to avoid it now.

Yes there are a couple more yet...im having a hard time finding the pictures I want. I also have to take pictures of my new finces yet!! LOL! I will post them soon!

My oldest bird is My DYH and he us 22 However I know another DYH Amazon that is 110!!!! Yes really!!! 110 and he outlived 4 owners so far!
