I have a whole house water filter that removes chlorine and fluoride- among other things. I feel good about giving good, clean water to my birds. They love it!

Your bird seems really young. Please find a specialist vet or good breeder who can advise you. i would do everything I could to get more information, so I did do the right thing for this tiny creature.

I have to say my amazon LOVES his toys! This guy plays all day. He never gets tired of corks, boxes, and wooden toys. It give me so much satisfaction to see him relish and demolish his toys. I think you need an amazon. They are totally different than a grey. You can do it! (wink)

That Zumba story is so funny. Unfortunately, Pancho sometimes does make an insanely loud, attention-getting, ear-piercing call in the morning. We try to discourage it by saying other things that he says, to try to redirect, or by walking away. I guess this is something we just have to deal with. It is rather unsettling for everybody. Brutus invariably says, "What's your problem?" which makes it a little more bearable.

i sure hope she weighs more than 75 grams. When the weather gets better try to get them outside. It is worth a try. It may work to help them stop plucking. Have you tried feeding them a cooked chicken drumstick bone?

Karen and Cody's Mom, It is interesting to hear how different our bird's personalities can be. My quaker can by a tyrant, and my amazon is quite timid. My grey is not timid at all and always getting into new mischief.
