  2. Hi number6, The mix of fruit, berries, nuts etc is all fine for your grey.I agree buying the ingredients separately & making your own is cost effective, doing it this way you can add things you know your bird will eat & there will be no wastage compared to a premade pack they may contain certain items your grey doesnt like. If you buy fruit/nut mixes from the shop you can always add items like dried pumpkin seeds etc.. Do you have health food stores near you ? These are great for getting bits to add to your mix. Wasabi is a member of the cabbage family. Known as Japanese horseradish, its root is used as a spice and has an extremely strong flavor. Its hotness is more akin to that of a hot mustard than the capsaicin in a chili pepper.Wasabi coated products are fine in moderation.
  3. beccy , I'm sure many of us have had to leave our birds on occasions longer than we would like.I'm sure this is a one off & as long as it is not a regular occurance Brian will be fine.I know when i first left my birds i was more distressed than them, they just greeted me as normal when i returned.Dont worry to much he will be fine

  11. Why don't men wear tight underwear? It cuts off circulation to the brain! How does a man keep his youth? By giving them money, furs and diamonds. Where do you have to go to find a man who is truly into commitment? A mental hospital. Why are men like strawberries? Because they take a long time to mature and by the time they do most are rotten. Why does a man have a clear conscience? Because it's never used. How do you confuse a man? You don't have to - they're born that way What's the difference between a man and a chimpanzee? One is hairy, smelly and is always scratching himself. The other is a chimpanzee. What do you call a caring, considerate and gifted man? A Myth. Why don't men have mid-life crises? They stay stuck in adolescence. What do men and beer have in common? They're both empty from the neck up. Shall i stop now Dan

    fruit pot!

Saguaro buds begin to appear in mid-April around the top of the main trunk and arms. The buds open into large white flowers from late April through early June. After a saguaro flower has been pollinated, it begins its transformation into a fruit. Complete ripening takes approximately 30 to 40 days. Near the end of the ripening period, the bright red fruits begin to split open. Inside are approximately 2000 tiny black seeds. Both the flesh and seeds are consumed by a variety of desert animals. And i found a recipe Saguaro Cactus Fruit Jam 6 cups saguaro cactus pulp water How to turn it into Jam Gather saguaro cactus fruit pulp. Put 6 cups of the pulp in a pot and add water until half of the pulp is covered. Soak the pulp for an hour and a half. Stir every now and then. Put the pot over a low flame and cook for 30 to 40 minutes. Separate the pulp from the liquid, saving the pulp. Boil the liquid very slowly (stirring all the time) until it turns into a syrup. Then mash the pulp and put through a strainer to remove the seeds. Combine the remaining pulp with the syrup until the mixture has the consistency of jam. When it looks like jam, it is jam. Serve over warm fry bread. p.s. do not add sugar
