  3. They are probably searching the internet for girl jokes to get their own back on Tari
  4. No guarantees Toni, the majority are very good at mimicking whistles, my boys were wolf whistling at a very early age,As for speech again , they all vary so much being individuals they learn at different paces I feel personally if our greys talk this is a bonus, it was never an issue for me if they spoke
  5. Hi & welcome, I'm so pleased you are trying to help your granda. As Talon has rightly said, as for the toys she will be wary of anything new,let her see you playing & enjoying the new toy, dont hang anything unfamiliar in her cage at this point, if she sees you curiosity may get the better of her & she may well show some interest. As with the toys do the same with the fruit & veg, keep offering them to her in her bowl, she may only play with new food or throw it out but she will have a little nibble at some point. Try a variety of things until you find what she likes. Has she has a vet check up lately ? I think it would be beneficial if you could take her for a general check up. Please let us know how things go.
  6. I'm afraid Taxidermy is permitted on ebay Heres a definition of taxidermy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxidermy
  7. Hi Sampson, sorry to hear this,do you know when the results will be back ? I wouldn't have thought it was neurological if the vet removed something from his eye !

  9. CAGguy congrats on becoming a grey owner, undoubtedly the most awesome thing most of us have ever done, look forward to hearing more about drizzle.
  10. I would advise to buy one now & introduce it to your baby, he will be more willing to accept it as normal as he is so young, rather than later on.You can watch the DVD that comes with the harness & introduce it to him as part of your realtionship with him
  11. beccy excellent advice & totally agree " step up " is the most vital command a grey should learn. kay When mine fly off out of reach i turn my back & ignore them,i start talking to myself most times curiosity gets the better of them & they fly back on command. Dont let ollie see that it bothers you, turn away from him & he will come down,The more you try to get him down it will turn into a battle of willpower, As beccy has said a gentle amount of pressure with your thumb over his toes will restrain him, i do this with all 3 of my greys when it comes to bedtime, they learn to accept it & it doesnt hurt them, it just stops them from flying off.
  12. The aviator harness is the most popular harness among bird owners,& it is claimed he only escape proof harness on the market, have a read here http://www.viparrot.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=4
  13. When changing any diet make it a gradual process over a few days, add some pellets to the seed, each day decrease the amount of seed just a little & increase the pellets. Some birds will accept the pellet straight away, others may take a month or so, be patient
  14. Kay does Ollie step up when asked ? When mine fly off out of reach i turn my back & ignore them,i start talking to myself most times curiosity gets the better of them & they fly back on command. Dont let ollie see that it bothers you, turn away from him & he will come down,The more you try to get him down it will turn into a battle of willpower,
  15. I'm with Monique, i have never heard of avi- cakes. What kind of product is it ? Do you have a run down of the ingredients ? If you want to get Beck to eat the pellets as her base diet and she is currently on a seed diet it is advised to wean her over to the pellets gradually ,Add a few pellets to her seed & each day decrease the seed & up the pellet amount.
  16. Hey you said we have a month be patient
