You wont be able to stop him saying the rude words,The only thing you can do is ignore it when he says it.Dont show any reaction when he swears & dont tell him off, Praise & fuss him when he says nice things & ignore all the bad,if you react to the bad language you will just be reinforcing something you are trying to stop.

There is always a reason behind the plucking & it can be so frustrating for owners because you have to find out what is causing it, before you can start to fix the problem.Has there been anything that has changed in your greys life recently which may have started him to pluck ?The list is endless but a few possibilities are; Frustration from long periods in his cage Lack of mental & physical stimulation Change of family circumstances/ environment Incorrect periods of light/darkness A poor diet, high in fatty foods Attention seeking As for the training you have to work at it every day,dont let your grey rule you, you have to let him know who is boss, or you will have a very dominant bird if he is only willingly to cooperate when he feels like it.

DNA is the only 100 % accurate way to be sure.Visual sexing is not reliable & you would need years of experience to attempt it

emmaj85867 Sounds as if you are giving Floyd a good varied diet, as long as he has plenty of veg & Fruit along with his pellets there's no need for the additional vitamins & cuttle bone.He is still just a baby so he will adapt fairly quickly to his new environment .Greys love routine, so try & stick to what ever routine suites you both,feeding times,time out of his cage etc..Any specific questions just ask.

Falconeer Well done, you have made great progress with Judy's help. As Judy said every time he step on your hand give him a command,( step up )& he will associate the two. As for biting i cant add anymore to what Judy has said,ignore it even tho it hurts sometimes Keep up the training

Parrots only have 250 to 350 taste buds compared with the 9000 or so we ... yes they can taste.Grey can smell, they use their sense of smell to detect where its snack is hidden ...
