on average greys defecate/poo every 15 minutes,judy is correct in saying that some dont like to soil their own cages.Every 45 seconds is excessive,perhaps have a look around the forum on potty/toilet training
congrats on your new baby,give him/her time to recover from the trip.As mas rightly said the beak grinding is a sign of contentment, they also do it right before they are going to sleep.Good luck with your new baby im sure you are going to have a lifetime of fun with him/her

Linda it sounds as if you have made good progress in a month.Stepping up even if it's to get from A to B is good :)offer plenty of treats for good behaviour,it may be a while before the head scratches etc he needs to gain complete trust in you but you are certainly on the right road,take each day as it comes & his pace
