monkey nuts are supposed to be cooked to stop any fungus on them getting to birds. there are 2 types of monkey nuts which u can get hold of easily. 1 is the monkey nuts uncooked and the other is roasted monkey nuts, i had to cook buddys nuts in oven for 20 minutes .until i discovered asda in the uk and wal mart in other countries do roasted monkey nuts cos steve bought some from there the other day if they are roasted dont need to cook them they are already done. the other ones u get in pet stores are the uncooked ones just put em in oven for 20 minutes and it clears any fungus off the nuts. buddy loves these nuts. why do parrots love us cos we are loving and caring people.B)

hello its mandi just want to thank you all for regards while i was in hospital yet again . i asked steve my hubby to keep you all posted about my progress etc. incase anyone seen me logged in but not talking like i use to b4 i went in. got to have plenty of bed rest for 3 to 4 weeks before i can get in wheelchair. and do normal things in life. thank you to judy and dan for talking with hubby through difficult times i know he couldnt have took much more of it. buddy being buddy not liking me too much nipped him on the top of his ear and wouldnt get in cage very well. im hoping to stay out of hospital for a long time now so no getting out of bed for me for a while. got pc at my bedside with buddy flying to a fro to me and playstand. dogs are on the bed either side of me so i cant move too well. buddy wants my attention so i best see what he wants bye for now love 2 all mandi xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

buddy just flys on mine, and plays with my hair, ears and mouth never bit me while hes up there he knows not to sit on my weak side. he flys onto the arm hes not suppose to but soon as he gets up on the shouder he moves to one i let him sit on. he bows his head for a stroke on the top of his head and says gis us a kiss. i was eating something yesterday when i finally came home from hospital. buddy got hold of my tongue and put his little black one onto it i was very scared he would bite it off but hes a gentle boy he knows when to get off as well i just tell him to fly back to his play stand he goes straight to it and when lands swears at me.

mandi sends all her love to u all and the parrots u all have. she also sends a sepcial message to judygram. and this is what it is. she says judy she cant wait to get home and hoping to catch up with u all she really misses not being able to chat with her friends she has made on here. xray tomoz for mandi to see if pelvic joint has been damaged if not then she will be home in 2 weeks maybe 3 depends if mandi stays in bed to let it calm down.which i know she wont she is stubborn mule

update on mandi , just spoke to the hospital and they havent broke any of mandi`s bones. they simply sat on her hip and pulled her leg its gone bk in place thank god still mite be in hospital for a bit longer. they are gonna do an xray on mandi pelvic joint just to be on the safe side to make sure no cracks or breaks in it.i had a hell of a job to get buddy in cage last night but he does it so good and quickly for mandi i hope he dont fret too much for mandi if so how can i stop him from doin this . steve xxxx

update on mandi, she having her foot turned round today they have found a way to do it without breaking her bones. someone got to sit on her hip and someone else has to pull her leg which also should put hip bk in.if that dont work then she will have to stay in hospital until it goes in itself im keeping fingers crossed on this one. cos if it goes bk in itself 3 months it will be and she wont like that at all. will elt u know more later tonight when i visit her . and judygram thanxs for the suggestion think thats what i mite do cos shes fretting over buddy and the dogs .

hiya all just an update on mandi this is steve again . mandi might have to stay in hospital up2 6 weeks we dont really know at this time. he foot is turned in that bad it wont straighten on its own and to be honest im worried that it will do more damage to her pelvic joint. buddy is progressing well he will come to me now cos mandi not here dogs goin mad cos she aint here i will soon have no hair left this rate. she says she will be glad to get home and wil deffo rest like hospital told her i told her to stay in bed for week but of course mandi is a bit stubborn and u cant tell her to stay in bed when told too.she only had a week left and she bk in now with left one. i will of course keep everyone up to date with mandi`s progress as she tells me how to write on here and send pm`s i have to ask her cos im not computer lit yet but one day i will be . she was wondering how all ya birds was getting on with things.i must get all animals settled in for the night dogs are the worst they keep pining for mandi. tc all steve xxxx

yes miltie he was sneezing doin impression of hubby sneezing and he was blowing raspberrys.

it will turn red soon shawzy wait til shes about 2 ish maybe a little bit later

yes tari it was raspberries, as well as telling the dogs to get out. and a swear word.yes the camera man is me i was in the bed taking it. he does say a hell of a lot more. but he was on a quieter moment.
