this is news to me as i have been told not long ago.the chillies in the parrot food has to be taken out. because they can cause our beloved parrots asthma.so i have stood there and took all the chillies out of buddy and basils food bag.theres something in the chillies that makes them have asthma.

basil is a rescued parrot so cant do alot yet. i will start changing his diet very soon i dont want to upset him as hes already is until he settles down a bit more.

thanks today hes been talking to buddy telling him to shut up and answering him bk.got to change basils diet though as he is on the totally on the wrong food . eclectus parrots should only be on fresh fruit food with millet spray and trill (budgie food) as the ekkies cant digest the other food very well at all.

i have a red sided eclectus aged 9 was at first female orientated til he reached pubity now he loves men and hates women. sometimes it can be puberty they go through they either hate or like.buddy they grey dont like men but loves women so now we got 1 each .

some parrots dont bond with humans if 2 are in cage but on the other hand they do .i had a sun conure his name was george he was on his own for a logn time until i got eric the jendaya conure george wanted to go in erics cage and eric wanted to go in georges together so that what they did and loved it when i lost them both i thought i was never gonna get another bird it was sad. but hey i have now got 2 parrots one in there own cage and diff rooms.

my buddy normally calls me mum what u doin then flys to me when he sees me appear.

this picture was took last night of basil on his perch steve put outside his cage he loves bein on it. just seems to settle in nice and quickly here for some reason or other same as buddy did.

he is being terrible today .i dont know whats up with him.hes out his cage but bein a little monster today i think i will give him a spray that calms him down he dont like them haha.

i sure will. hes goin next week hopefully. vet must be male cos he dont like us women.hes already saying hello when fone rings and says yes while ur talking. i will take some pics once buddy lets me. he will teach basil a few words more no doubt.

hey all just to let u know i picked up the new arrival yesterday .his name is basil he is a red sided green male eclectus. he is a rescued parrot. he is a feather plucker only because he wasnt allowed out of his cage. the person who i got him off told me yesterday he was out of his cage once a week. but was told by her fella he didnt come out at all.hes a male orientated now hates women.lets hope he gets on with steve. buddy the cag been to see him already and not bothered .will post pictures on here when i can take some.when buddy lets me take pictures hes hanging off the camera trying to peck at the lense .from mandi xxxxxxxxx

well hello from the uk its 8.56am here rain we are sick of the rain over here so u all can have it lol.

beccy i have got hyper mobility syndrome which means it will keep coming in and out of joint no matter what happens i was born like it apparently but it dont show til ya in ya 20s hence why it started in shoulders at 23.it will spread into other joints what i have got left thats not got it yet. unfortunatley the specialists i seen wont do any op for replacements because simply they wont work i havent got much sockets left nor the joint itself.mine are like a rubber band snapping. been told this since i was 23 theres nowt they can do .

unfortunatley i have to be in wheelchair as i have the same thing in shoulders but they just made sure the heirline fractures knitted bk together safelythen told me to go and rest in bed as usual. so i did

hiya all just to let you know im back.been trying to build my life and strength back up. after speaking to a few of you last time i was on i have been in and out of hospital not realising something was seriously goin wrong with my hips kept coming in and out of joint. they took me back in hospital only to find i had 13 heirline fractures in both hips thats why they kept coming out of joint very painful when i was in bed. the news came of my gran passing away came to us on sept 6th she had heart failure at 85. on a happier note no more goin back n fourth to hospital all sorted im trying to walk on a stick but getting no luck im not gonna push it now at all. be stil in my wheelie with buddy on the handle bars saying come on mum. glad to be back yet again love to all mandi xxxxxxxxxxxx

supermarkets monkey nuts can be found roasted and un roasted. shelled ones talon. if u cant find the roasted ones get the normal ones and cook them on high temp for 20 minutes it kills the fungus.

yes talon they are 100% safe roasted kills fugus all things like that. u can find them with human food like near grocery places in walmart and asda. i will certainly do u guys the favour and put this in the faq when im a bit better feeling bit.

mushrooms are toxic for birds same as chocolate. but grapefruit is fine buddy pinched mine the other morning when i had breakfast in bed.
