I do understand your point and yes if we didnt have breeder birds we wouldnt have our babies. If we didnt take them away from their parents and hand raise them then those babies would grow up to be like them.More wild and leary of humans. As for Delilah and Dakota I try my best to not treat them like a baby factory.I give them names, they do have toys and special treats.Oh thats another thing.These birds dont even have a name and they are 12 years old.I guess if breeders have too many breeder birds they dont care to name them all.Well I know any breeder birds I get they will have names and toys in their cages.

I went to see some breeder birds and when I got home I realized they didnt have any toys.I gave Delilah and Dakota (my breeder birds)two wood toys,and couple shreddables to play with. Did I do a wrong thing? Are they suppose to be with just each other and do nothing? I,as a person if I just had to look at my boyfriend all day and do nothing I would go insane and he'd be lucky if hes alive by the end of the week. :silly:

I have the heated perch for Alcazar.Last year he was so so about it.So I kept it in there and just unplugged it for the winter.This year he liked it alot.It has grooves in it.He doesnt seem to slip when hes on it. Alcazar's noisey around 8ish am, 12ish pm and 6ish pm. Hes fairly quiet other times. He'll talk some between the times but not loud.

I was engaged on valentines day. Twice..Of course Im not w/these men.So now I dislike Valentines Day very much.I tell my b/f that I have now to don't expect anything on that day.To me its just another day.Of course though I have the daycare kids celebrate. I cant ruin their fun.

Wow pretty tiels.I plan on getting my sister one once she gets her own place.She had one before.She had someone break into her house one day when they were gone and they robbed her and baby was one of the items stolen. I like the marble color one.

Welcome to our forum. Your new baby is so adorable. The cage you have pictured there looks great.I would go with suggestions.Shop around on a good deal for cages.You want to get your moneys worth. Im sure you will be a very good mama.You said your mom had one so thats great you have some familiarity with the breed.It doesnt hurt to contine the research and if you need some questions answered Im sure one of the bird brains here will help.Its better to post a question rather than use the IM sidebox.Quicker results with a post. I did try the larger pieces and at the time he had a hard time w/them.This was awhile ago though like first 2 months I had him. Try that website though.

I noticed Alcazar doesnt have a certain type of music however, when he hears Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire Song he gets all chirpy and sqwauky.

Oh their not used toys either.Their new. ALot are what people made.I even bought bird parts off of ebay to make my own.

I bought lots of toys off ebay for my fids.Ebay is like my Walmart since I cant go to Walmart often. Their safe, durable and cheap.Just make sure to read fine print and ask them questions if you have too. Most of the woods I do ask if the dye is bird safe.Like what type it is.Majority is the bird safe dye.

Alcazar is my baby but I can tell he loves my b/f a tad more tha me.But he will go to both of us.
