Jules, if it has been a while since he has seen a vet it might be a good idea to take him in to at least consult on what may have been going on. I know anything like that is worrisome. But I am glad he is better, just keep an eye on it in case it comes back.
Yes thats true and also at the same time he is getting all his flight feathers and does some flying and that causes some weight loss.
When you get a scale, weigh him the same time every day, it works best in the mornings after the first bomb of the day and before he eats.
I could probably say cheddar cheese is her favorite food. Both my sun conure and my grey will beg for cheese when they see the package come out of the fridge. You know how they usually drop some of what they are eating well they don't drop a bit of the cheese they inhale it.
Yes that book "For the love of Grey's" by Bobbi Brinker is good reading. I have that book, it was the first one I read before I bought my grey. I recommend it for everyone with a grey and especially for anyone contemplating getting a grey.
Its possible xxbeccyxx, but what else is going on. Is he eating and drinking normal? Is he fluffed up and on the bottom of the cage, then something could be wrong. I would keep an eye on him and if you have a vet you could call and talk with him/her it might clear things up for you. I know you are worried and I would be too. Let us know what you find out and how he is later. It may just be he is feeling dejected because you are not paying him the attention he usually gets.
Thats a cute bird there, I don't know what it is but I'm glad you got the shot. Too city like huh, if you are going to Kauai you will like it there, was my favorite of all the islands I visited. Keep the pics coming.{Communicate-00020110}
You need a blood sample to determine the sex or an examination by a vet. Some people claim you can tell from the shape of the eye but that is not accurate. It shouldn't cost much to find out if you want to know. About the age I guess a vet could determine how old your Cag is.
Hey Penny, I am on your side but you got to admit it would be funny to watch you jump rope while on a pogo stick. You could be proud of yourself, it's something I cannot do thats for sure.
