  1. Its like you said,its normal for the chest to quiver like that and I don't think it has anything to do with stress so don't worry about it. Everything is ok if he is playing with his toys and climbing around. Glad he is happy and hope it stays that way but keep us informed as how things go in the coming days, weeks and so forth.B)
  2. I can speak from personal experience that just because a grey learns to whistle first they won't talk is just crap. Josey learned to wolf whistle first and now she is saying words and copying some of the things she hears. She says what all the time and I hear my laugh often too. If yours is just 4 months old you have plenty of time, since mine is 1 year old and she is starting to form words. But it sounded more like jibberish before and kind of robotic, but give it time.:cheer:
  3. I like that xxbeccyxx and life has certainly dealt you a heavy blow but then everyone has a burden to carry of some sort, some you can see readily and some you cannot. You are so young to be facing such difficulties but I hope everything goes well for you. Thanks for the lyrics I enjoyed them immensely. :) :)
  4. Now that would be funny FairY, a picture of her trying to catch a pic of her grey doing something funny.{Feel-good-0002006E}

    Poop

    I would guess if he is eating a lot of fresh vegetables that would account for runny poops as veggies are mostly water anyway. But the breeder would have good information and advice so I would listen to him. A gram scale would be advisable to have to keep check on the weight. Thats good he enjoys veggies most of us have trouble getting our greys to eat their veggies.:laugh:
  6. To clip or not to clip that is the question. Its a matter of personal preference and whatever works for you is correct. My Josey was clipped right before I got her but I am going to let hers grow out and see how it goes.

    Bird Fair

    Wow you suffer from MBS, I would too if I could. My bird club is haveing their bird fair next Saturday. I am slated to work all day but I will find time to look everything over and purchase some supplies, but no birds. We just have a one day thing and there are some seminars going on all thru the day about bird related subjects. I love the bird fair because they always have plenty of stuff and you can look at it before you buy. :laugh:
  9. Mmmmmmmmmmmm, grits and red eye gravy, now thats some kind of good. Oh you meant for the grey, grits would be okay without the salt of course.:lol:
  10. Its hard to stay away isn't it and besides you need to take a break from studying now and then, right?
  11. I hope they catch the one who stole them and I hope the greys bite the thief real hard.{Feel-bad-00020080}
  12. You can do it Julia and we will be here to hear you exclaim "I did it"!!!{Communicate-0002011B}
  13. Very cute budgies, such sweet little birds.
  14. I like that toy you made, Splint101, that was very creative, makes me want to do one like it. My grey likes those balls with the bells in them. She can really tear them up.:laugh:

  16. Welcome CAGguy and I know you can hardly wait to bring your grey home, I remember when I was in your shoes. The wait is unbearable it seems, but all good things come to those who wait. Cage size sounds fine and the full spectrum lighting is beneficial to greys, I personally don't have one but am considering getting one. Keep us informed on the greys progress and we are here to help if needed.
  17. Greys are messy, thats something we all can agree on. But my hat is off to you for getting 2 greys at the same time but at least raised together they should get along ok and be cage mates. You have been given excellent advice by the other posts on this thread. Welcome to our family here at the forum.
  18. Like everyone else said it will take lots of time and I am saying not in weeks but maybe in months to get him to trust you. Take everything slow and gentle and one day you will be rewarded with his love. Just don't give up and be very very patient with him. Keep us informed as to how things are going and let us know if you need any help.
  19. Like you Caspersmum, my grey usually weighs in around 410-415 grams, so I guess she is petite like yours and she is a Cag.
  20. Talon's picture is in the thread "What do you look like" so check it out.:lol:
  21. Monique how did you hang the phone book in the cage? Did you put a hole clear thru the book and run a chain thru or what? I have extra phone books and was going to throw them away but this idea is a great way to dispose of them.
  22. He found the pickins were slim out there on his own and with the activity of flying burning calories I'll bet he was hungry. So glad he is back in your loving arms again.{Love-000200C5}
  23. I have not tried to get it on her yet and she has been clipped, but I am letting her fully fledge again so she can soar in the sky.
  24. Whatever decision you make remember we are here for you to help you every step of the way if needed. All you have to do is ask.

    Et voila ;)

    Don't worry Monique you will never be chopped liver as far as I am concerned, all you admins are the greatest, best there is.{Love-000200BF}
