  1. Thanks Joe for the update and glad to hear everything is ok. You should post in the age thread, I thought I was the oldest but at 61 you have me beat.
  2. I know what I will do, breathe a sigh of relief and I bet that guy that plays Harry will too.{Characters-00020065}
  3. Your best bet is to try to find a local breeder so you won't have to ship it, things can go wrong, Talon was lucky to get hers okay.
  4. Will it all be over with the 7th book, I haven't read the first one yet, not my style, not for the older woman, but for you young whippersnappers.{Characters-0002007C}
  5. You don't want them to fall and hurt themselves. I don't know why I didn't notice it before but your baby has that pink blush in the face, he was happy.
  6. How about my signature line Talon, do you love it too.
  7. Brilliant as always, thanks for the laugh before going to bed, maybe I need to do the same.{Feel-good-0002006E}
  8. Ruby is a good name for a grey but so is Kip or Kipusa, there were a lot of names I considered before naming mine but Josey was the one I seemed to like the best.

    monkey nuts

    I'm still reeling from the realization that monkey nuts are just ole peanuts, how could I have been so stupid.{Feel-bad-00020066}{Feel-bad-0002006A}
  10. I know which one you are talking about but where it is and which thread its in I don't know, but will try to find out. Maybe there is some sort of search function for this site where we can find a specific thing. I was interested in it too, someone else had one they had bought and was expensive and someone else made one inexpensively and I believe if I remember correctly, they gave us the instructions on how it was done. I'll try to find out something for you. Thats a cute little baby you have there in your avatar.:cheer:
  11. I can relate to those and have experienced all but the sucker bite, but I probably will eventually. Thanks for the information.
  12. You got a real comedian there, Penny.{Nature-000200C9}

    monkey nuts

    I hate to admit it but I feel stupid, peanuts, just plain ole peanuts are monkey nuts. I thought I had found something new and good for Josey.{Feel-bad-00020066}
  15. Arrrrrggggg, matey, I do aim to please.
  16. I certainly don't feel like one, I may not be the smartest cookie on the block but momma didn't raise no dummies.
  17. Thanks, I might have to take you up on that. It is so funny, I remember years ago our first computer was one that operated off of the old DOS system and my daughter would come to the house and tell me if I had windows I could get around better on it. I thought she was crazy, windows, what is windows, I hadn't a clue but I know now. I think my 7 year old grandson can do more on the computer than I can, he used to download all kinds of games on mine even when he was only 4 or 5, picks things up like that easy. He may become some kind of computer geek too, he loves them.

    monkey nuts

    Well gollllllllllllllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, thems just plain old peanuts, I don't give them to Josey. They come in the bag with other nuts, seeds and fruit but I take them out and give them to the outside birds. Sometimes there can be a fungus in the shell that can be harmful to our greys so I won't let her have them.
  19. Something to consider, thanks for telling us that, I may look into it.
  20. Is that for 1 bird or all that you have?
  21. Yes haven't you heard of bird insurance, Talon. How expensive is that insurance, Blidner?
  22. You would get more from me but I am all used up today. Thanks for a job well done.
  23. Thanks Blidner for the update, I am glad she is doing better but a vet visit will ease your mind but not your wallet. I have taken my grey to a vet who specializes in birds but I think I am going to change over to one who is avian certified on the recommendation of my breeder friend, the only one she uses and trusts.
  24. Mensa member, I didn't know we were so honored here on the forum to have one of you.:laugh:
  25. Put your hand close to the abdomen in front of the feet and push gently to get them to step up, it takes them a little off balance and usually will step up, if he does step up praise him lavishly and say the same thing every time you do it. Pretty soon it will be natural for him to step up and you won't even have to say it but you should so he knows that is what you want him to do. Hope this helps and let us know if you need more help, be glad to provide.
