1. Trina, it is a tiny place, don't know the population, but I am about 4 to 5 miles from the James River.
2. Well here is my entry into the birdy pizza contest, and I know you have waited patiently, some more than others, but here goes. It didn't turn out quite as good as I had expected and Josey kind of ignored it for a bit but she finally got into it.
3. You are doing a wonderful job Sandy, keep up the good work.
4. I live in Eagle Rock, Virginia in the good old US of A. and that is on the eastern side of the USA. But you can also check out where the members live by going to your profile page and other members around you will be displayed by a flag.
5. I hear ya on the sun conure, Lovie, she can be loud, much louder than Josey, my grey.:ohmy:
6. When you get him used to just letting him have a towel close to him try playing hide and seek with the towel or some kind of game to get him over his fear of it. One day you might have to towel him for some emergency and it will come in handy if he is not so fearful of them.
7. Sure Dan if thats what you want us to believe, I'll go along with it, anything for you my man.:kiss:
8. Gosh Tracy don't you have any country music over there in the UK? One is a pretty big hit and the other is good also, but definitely love songs, a little out of the ordinary of course. My 6 year old granddaughter loves to sing the Ride a Cowboy one.:laugh:
9. Well I guess Dan and Kim are eating out on the town tonight. Foot in mouth, remember that Dan. {Feel-bad-00020072}
10. Where is CD when you need him, he could fix those photos.:huh:
11. I must be a lucky woman, Josey will talk in front of me and my hubby, in fact she will answer my hubby with some of her vocabulary. Sometimes he will wolf whistle and she will answer him back.:laugh:
12. Hello and welcome to the family, Sandy, we are glad you joined and so glad you rescued this grey from his predicament. That is so sad when this happens and I hope the other two birds get good loving homes also. I know you are going to love it here, we feel like a real second family and love to hear about each other's greys and it will be the same with you. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask us anything, we will do our best to get you an answer and help you in any way we can. You did the right thing in not pulling away when he bit you, he was testing you to see if you were afraid of him and now that he knows you aren't he probably won't try that again. Isn't it super special when they pick us and not the other way around. If you have a photo of him you would like to post please do, we love to admire each other's greys. I look forward to hearing more about Snoopy and his transition to his new home.
13. Oh and I am not supposed to be on during the day at work either, but what am I doing right now, I am at work goofing off, I get my work done and if they are not any the wiser the better.:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
14. Its the truth, I swear it.:laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
15. Thanks Sandra for updating us on Merlin, sounds like you two have a love affair going and that makes me happy as punch. You go girl, glad all is well.
16. Personally I like to keep in touch with my men friends by pm if you catch my drift, the more men the better I say, and Joe is one of my favorites. {Love-000200C5}
17. Hello and welcome to the family, Debbie, glad you could join us. Radar sounds like a lovely grey, did you name him after the character on Mash? Most greys are afraid of new things and if you just go slow and introduce something new by not bringing it too close to him to start with. Then bring it closer and closer when he learns to accept it more until finally it is right before him. This may take days or weeks but it will happen and then finally he can enjoy it for all its worth. You probably have the oldest grey here on this forum, most of the members have young ones like mine is, she is 16 months old. If you have a photo of Radar you would like to post please do, we love to look at pictures and admire e ach other's greys.
18. I work during the day but I manage to get on for brief moments to post to various threads. I didn't get my count no other way, I do most of my posts at night. I usually do post when I am on but sometimes I am pming someone to chat privately, perhaps we could chat that way also if you want to talk about something we can't discuss on a public forum.:laugh:

Post edited by: judygram, at: 2007/09/27 03:22
19. Josey will wipe her beak on anything and that includes whatever I am wearing at the time. She eats some warm oatmeal in the mornings and I wipe off the excess on her beak with a tissue, she does not like it but I do it anyway before she wipes it on me. They seem to like to wipe their beak after eating and if they want to do it on paper then that is fine. SandyinFlorida, I see this is your first post, why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us a little more about you and your grey. Thanks.
20. All of it sounds like good advice on what to do when you bring the baby home, just let your bird tell you when and what it will allow and enjoy it.
21. Of course these two songs are good also. Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy & I Want to Check You For Ticks {Love-0002006D}
22. Hello and welcome to the family, Ssgem76, glad you could join us, we look forward to hearing more about you and your quest for a grey. You are right to do your research before purchasing a grey, they do have certain requirements and it is a lifelong committment. We have loads of information here in our topics and threads, just browse thru and read as many as you can for a wealth of info. I can't help you with your search for a grey in Australia but maybe a few of the members knows where you can look for one, I believe we do have a few members from there.
23. Dave why did you let the cat out of the bag, so much for our little secret.:kiss:

Good thinking Barbara, there is more than one way to skin a cat if you know what I mean. That idea may help some others with the same problem of getting their grey to eat their pellets. Well done.
25. No Tracy, you have to move to the US remember, so you can be in the right time zone and then you can get the playstands and be here to play with us more. {Feel-good-000200BB}
