  1. Hello and welcome to the family, Jamie, glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and this new Tag of yours. He is a cutie too, I absolutely love the babies, they are so adorable. Please read thru our many threads on various topics for lots of useful and helpful information on all aspects of grey ownership. If you have specific questions you would like to ask please do so, we will try to get you an answer and help you in any way we can. You are doing the right thing in learning all you can before you bring your baby home, this is a lifetime committment and you need to know what you are getting yourself into. I'm sure you are gonna make this grey an excellent mom and we look forward to seeing more pictures and hearing stories you may have to tell us. I assume Romeo is his name, has he been DNA sexed as a male?

    feeding ???

    Just feed what they will eat, most will not overeat and they do poop every so often during the day. Also be sure to monitor its weight with a gram scale, as long as it is consistent it is fine. Why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us some about yourself and your grey.
  3. Thats what I was thinking too, Beccy, sturdy and heavy.
  4. Well Ccilia, I don't smoke but I do accept the fact that some people do and that is their choice but I won't try to force my thinking on you, we can still be friends, we all make mistakes and bad choices but it doesn't have to get in the way of friendships. Mmmmmmmm, I love pumpkin pie with some whipped cream on top, yummy.
  5. The travel cage I got, it looks just like the one in the link that Pryde posted earlier in this thread, has a slide out tray on the bottom with a grate over it so the bird does not come in contact with the paper. It folds up for easy storage also but I just leave mine up for I am using it from time to time. It also has a perch, two bowls, a carrying handle and is relatively lightweight.
  6. Connie the blue and gold is really looking good now, soon be time to bring it home. I think those hyacinth macaws are georgeous also, but they come with a mighty big price tag.
  7. Thanks Tari for sharing that with us, that was too cute.
  8. Hello and welcome to the family, Mario, so glad you could finally join us and if you are anything like your Dad, we are gonna love you to death also. We all and especially me, think the world of Joe, he is a fine, understanding, compassionate man and he can cook also.:laugh: I might be crazy to think you love animals, I think you do have a zoo there but hey if you love them then the more the merrier. Glad to hear you are adding a grey to the household, you won't be sorry, we all love ours and I know you have enjoyed your father's grey and it is contagious isn't it. Feel free to read thru our many threads on various topics but you already have a ready source of helpful information in your Dad, he has been a tremendous help here on this forum and we count our lucky stars that he found this site. If you have any pictures of your birds or even of the other animals you would like to share with us, please do, we may have already seen some of them in Joe's pics that he posted and I think we could probably pick you out of the photo he posted of his whole family a while back. I am so happy to have you here and I just can't stop talking about your Dad, I think the world of him and he knows it, I won't let him forget it. Wow, we have another Italian stud to add to our collection going here, don't let me scare you away, I am harmless:whistle: but I appreciate the male specimen and you are no exception. Hope you have that wonderful sense of humor like your Dad.
  9. I was shocked when I saw that he called you Dad, I won't tell you what I first thought but glad he has been identified as your son Mario. Tell him to quit lurking and post some, the more the merrier, especially from your family, Joe, we love you so much how could we not love any member of your family. I hope today is the day you find Spencer.
  10. What can I say, maybe we will be off to somewhere else, who knows where the day will take us............... Thats for me to know and you to find out...... {Feel-good-00020069}
  11. I can relate to that also, Sunny is into everything when she sits on my shoulder, down the chest to get into whatever I am doing. It amazes me how she hangs on and leans out so far to get a hold of what I am working with, too funny.:laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
  12. I'll just bet you do, Dan. I think it is time for some more breaking news.:whistle:
  13. Wow, I know some of the members would love for their bird to be doing all that cuddling and lovey stuff.
  14. How did you know I needed a laugh Dave, I can always count on you for a good one, and you don't disappoint. {Feel-good-0002006E}
  15. You know I was just thinking about your tattoo and was going to ask you about it, but you beat me to the punch, I like it and can't wait to see it in person. Thanks Joe for updating this for us.
  16. I'm not cooking a turkey, so I don't have to worry, wouldn't use one of those bags anyways, my daughter has the honors of doing the turkey dinner for Thanksgiving.
  17. So it is not perfectly smooth, who cares, as long as the bird is healthy, a little flakiness is ok.
  18. My breeder chose not to put the band on Josey and I am glad she didn't, I have it but it is not on her leg. I would have it cut off, Dan.
  19. Move to a house with low ceilings, that would be one solution, or clip the wings.
  20. Now thats just plain stupid, well I guess I will never live in Sweden, thats for sure.
  21. Josey does the chicken scratch too, it is too funny to watch.:laugh:
  22. Very good job, Adele, at teaching Manzi some tricks, I loved the playing dead one also, thanks for sharing it with us.
  23. You can't beat the baby pictures, they are so adorable, but don't be shy about putting pictures on the site, it really isn't that difficult and I am not a spring chicken myself. These young people grew up with computers and it comes to them so easily, but the older folks like me have to work at it harder to do stuff on them.
  24. I have the adventure pack and another travel cage that I use for Josey, since I have a sun conure also, I need 2 cages for travel and I do take mine to work occasionally.
  25. Congrats Ronda, on the progress, even in small steps it is progress just the same, before you know it she will be all over you with delight, keep up the good work, you are doing great.
