The main thing is even if she does start plucking don't feed into that by reacting to it, ignore it or she will continue to do it for the response it brings out of you. But I don't think you have to worry.
No I think she needs to know you are going to be there for her and she needs to start getting used to stepping up when you ask. But do it in short sessions so she does not get tired of it. Even though you have been around her for most of her life you have not been the sole caregiver so a relationship has to be developed between the two of you.
Since she is an older bird it will take a little longer for her to trust you but she will with patience and persistence. She has been used to being in her cage a lot due to your aunt's reluctance to work with her for fear of a bite. But sometimes we have to endure a few bites before she understands that you are not going anywhere and she can trust you to be there for her.
Too bad someone couldn't have taken a pic of that pose with you and Bella, what a hoot that would have been. Thanks for sharing that with us. Josey has put her beak to my nose and lick it and stare me in the eyes too, she especially turns her head so she can look at me sideways, cracks me up every time.
He/she looks fine to me too, I had to wait until I got home to view the videos as I was at work earlier and unable to see them there. The baby is still youny yet and will be a little unsteady and clumsy.
Just waiting to hear what the vet said, don't keep me waiting too long you hear:whistle:
Yeah don't fly off the handle at the loss of one feather, she could be starting to molt them out, but in any case like Berna said don't make a big deal out of it or she will do it again for the reaction it gets. Don't worry needlessly.
I agree Mark and we have done the same thing with Josey when we travel with her. I take her along with me when I go to visit my son and it is a 4+ hour trip and we stop and get a bite to eat before arriving at our destination. She has food and water in her travel cage to do her until we get there but we don't leave her for long and we like to park where we can keep an eye out for the vehicle. She does fine with that, she usually plays with a toy or two and sometimes chatters some on the way there and back.
Names, I am no good with names but hey if you want our help I am sure some of the members can come up with some good choices for him.

Not much on lizards and especially snakes, but the grey is cute as a button, guess you know which one I prefer.
Thanks for sharing some of your other interests with us.
Oh you might if you play your cards right, Spence, I will be waiting to hear the results, but some of the tests you will have to wait for.
You're such a proud Papa:) B)
Yes it will be worth it to find another avian vet even if it means traveling further to get there, you really need someone who deals with birds on a daily basis and knows them well, not just someone who occasionally sees birds.
BTW, if you live in Tennessee why do you say we "ungreateful" (correct spelling - ungrateful) Americans, sounds to me like you don't really live in the USA, but if you do why don't you go HOME, we have enough idiots here as it is.
