  1. Ah ha, now we know what turns you on Tracy, dirty laundry:laugh: {Feel-good-0002006E}
  2. Maybe you will get it tomorrow Dan, sometimes it seems like I am the last one to get the latest issue but not this time but it is a cutie of her:P
  3. OMG Siobhan how awful, I hope they took a little off the check for that, I know and understand accidents happen but the right thing to do is cut some off the bill, and two in one sitting. I hope your eye is going to be fine and your brother-in-law wasn't burned by the teapot. I would think twice before patronizing that place again but I hope the food was worth it:pinch: Thanks for sharing this with us, oh and btw, did you leave a generous tip:ohmy: I wouldn't have:angry:
  4. This needs deleted Dan, she put it up for sale on craigslist
  5. Lisa there are lots of reasons why greys pluck from physical problems to behavioral problems and sometimes its hard to pinpoint the cause. But a lot of them do it because there is some change in the household, greys don't like any kind of change in routine. Some do it because they don't get the attention they were used to getting or the one they were most attached to are gone or absent a lot from their life. There are so many reasons it is too many to list and sometimes I believe there are some that are just destined to do it no matter what the circumstances are. None of us want our greys to ever pluck but we do our best to give them the loving home and the attention they need plus the proper nourishment and that is all we can do but we hope that will be enough. But even if our grey does start plucking we still love them for they are still the same bird just with less feathers, like us humans, sometimes the beauty is on the inside not the outside. I imagine that working for a place where you see a lot of birds come in you see plenty of plucked ones but don't worry yourself needlessly, if you provide the proper requirements for your grey more than likely yours won't ever pluck.
  6. Yes you do have a house full of animals but if you love them then the more the merrier I say. If you want to share some pictures of your cockatoo, cockatiels and your other animals we have an other birds room where you can post them if you like. I would be interested in seeing your other animals if you would share them with us also. I knew that name had a special meaning and it fits her doesn't it.
  7. You probably like those trashy romance novels, right Tracy:laugh: just kidding woman:woohoo: B)
  8. Right back at cha {Love-000200BF}
  9. Yes they can because Josey does the same thing if she is on my shoulder for awhile, there is a dusting of fine particles that looks like I have a bad case of dandruff.:blink: :laugh:
  10. About 5 miles What is in your pocket right now?
  11. Tari would be the one to comment on the parrotlets, she knows all about the small birds.
  12. Just barely, I wouldn't go any smaller than that, they need to be able to open their wings fully and flap without touching the sides of the cage. Why don't you give us a little more information about yourself and this grey of yours, so we can properly welcome you to the forum.
  13. Hello MahiriMommy and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Mahiri. That is a lovely name for a grey, does it have a special meaning but from what it looks like it sounds delightful like it just rolls off the tongue. I'm not surprised that you feel the way you do about your grey, we here all share that same feeling that our greys are the dearest comapnions that we could ever have. Once you have one you wonder how you ever got along without one, they are very precious indeed. Do you have any other birds right now or any other pets, most of us have more than one bird and some of us have many pets of many different kinds, we just don't know when to quit.:laugh: Take a little time and read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have. We will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. If you have any pictures of Mahiri you would like to share with us we would love to see them.
  14. You'll get the hang of it soon, a lot of us put pictures on a photo listing site such as photobucket.com and then add them to the post that way, you might check it out and try that. I did check out your photo album and saw your pictures of Max, thanks for sharing them with us.
  15. Gosh Heather I hope not, that is something to be proud of, I wish I had one for my vehicle but then I would have to send in some pictures first right and I haven't done that. so when you get it you display it proudly.

  21. Hello Skuffy and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Max. Your daughter's loss is your gain, at least she had someone to fall back on when she realized that she couldn't keep him, you stepped in and took over and have never regretted a moment of it since. Its funny how things work out sometimes and now you wonder how you could have gotten along without him. They do grow on you like that and now you know what amazing creatures the greys are and she can still be a part of his life she just won't be the day to day keeper of his tasks. Take a little time and read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have. We will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures of Max you would like to share with us we would love to see him.
  22. Now how cool is that to have Harrison's picture in the Bird Talk magazine this month, now you get a bumper sticker that says "My bird was in Bird Talk magazine" we have a celebrity here, wow, that is cool...... Congrats Heather on that picture being selected as I'm sure they have lots of entries and most never make it but yours did, way to go girl.
