    Plucked!

Poor thing, hope he does go to a good home.
  2. Those are the worst moments and I have had my tiel fly into windows before and she was a little dazed afterwards, Dave told me to just hold her in my hands for 10 to 15 minutes until she gets over it and not allow her to fly again for a couple of hours but this has never happened to Josey. You did the right thing to call your avian vet for advice but it looks like Alfie will be fine.
  3. I hear ya Ray, it has been one strange spring, a little summer one day and then another gives us a taste of winter, keeps us on our toes and you never know what to wear.
  4. That was amazing Dan but I already know crows are smart, they know when my husband plants his corn and when the shoots are just poking thru the ground they pull them up because they know there is a kernel of corn on the other end, smartie pants.
  5. It does sound like your baby is hungry in the video, the others have given you some excellent advice so please follow their recommendations and keep us informed for we do care.
  6. Sukei is enjoying the sunshine and the view and he will be skittish for a while as it takes time for a grey to feel really comfortable, thanks for sharing the pictures with us.
  7. That is definitely a grey growl though a more subdued one and I can understand why, that was not to his liking for sure.
  8. Just like being at grandma's house, spoiled rotten but at least he was well taken care of.
  9. Dan, we wait every day for the Parronts Appreciation Day but sadly it never happens, heck every day is Parrots Appreciation Day for we live to serve them beak and talon.
  10. Oh my, the floodgates have opened now, congrats and enjoy.
  11. Right now at this moment you have 2 thanks which means you have given thanks for 2 posts, you have been thanked 66 times in 16 posts which means you have been thanked a total of 66 times in 16 posts which means you have been thanked by more than one person in a post, you might have noticed that you have been thanked by multiple people in one particular post. I know this sounds confusing but that's it, many of the members have been here for years so they have more thanks, usually you have more the longer time you have been here, you have no control over how many thanks you get but you do have complete control over how many you give and some give more often than others, hope this helps.
  12. I am so glad to hear there is improvement, miracles do happen and keep us informed for we do care.

    Skittles

Skittles is so cute but then I am partial to suns because I have one and she is a feisty one at times and can be nippy but a sweetheart the rest of the time, she doesn't talk just screams at times. She loves to sit on my shoulder and will cuddle into my neck at times and sometimes she tries to go down the front of my shirt, she is the one bird that tears up my clothes so I can't have on good shirts when she is out. Thanks for sharing some pictures of Skittles with us.
  14. Peanut is lucky you found him, thanks for sharing the pictures with us.
  15. I have a cousin who is afraid of birds, it does amaze me how they could be fearful of a little bundle of feathers but then I realize not everyone is cut out to be bird lovers and that makes us special. I like that Phobeak, good one Dan.
  16. Thats wonderful news and yes he has a bigger than size personality.
  17. What a sweetheart, he knows what feels good, thanks for sharing them with us.
  18. I have to echo the other's advice, he needs to be checked out by an avian vet and then let us know what you find out.
  19. Hello Mike the Grey and welcome to our family. So happy you could give these two greys a new forever home. Now if we could see some pictures of Sassy and Bubba.
  20. Healing thoughts go out to all those affected.
  21. Hello Goldilocks and welcome to our family. Is this your first grey, your first parrot? I am excited for you as you wait for the day your baby grey comes home so be sure to read thru as many of the threads here as you can to help with the transition but if you have done your homework it should be a piece of cake. Looking forward to hearing more and maybe see some pictures of your baby if you have some you would share with us.
  22. Jay is right, the band is useless for indentification as anyone could have put it on.
  23. That is my thought about those types of carriers also, if in the sun those could get very hot inside but that pak-o-bird is better in that respect but smaller.
  24. Just say thanks but no thanks and walk away, you do not want to encourage that behavior, no one likes being sexually frustrated!
